本单元的话题为When is the art show? 学生在A部分的Let’s talk及Let’s learn已经学过了核心句型When is...?It’s on...及日期的表述。本课为pep6第四单元B部分Let’s talk板块。本课是陈洁向Mike询问其生日时得知Mike与陈洁妈妈同一天生日的对话，课文对话从Let’s try部分讨论Mike 新出生的表弟的生日，自然过渡到Mike的生日，让学生理解when is your birthday?的意义。对话中还通过陈洁要在妈妈生日那天为妈妈煮一碗长寿面渗透了感恩教育，关心关爱他人。

教材分析

本次授课对象是为五年级的学生。这个年级学生已经具备一定的语言表达能力，能够学情学用完整的句型描述自己的所见。在本课之前学生已学过了句型Where is ...? It’s on...,以及分情日期的表述。经过两年多的学习，五年级的学生已具备根据所给条件设计活动的能力。他析分们富有想象力，性格活泼好动，有鲜明的喜好，能够按照他人的喜好，对接自己已有的生析活经验，设计一场既有趣又有意义的主题生日派对。

知识与技能：

1.能够在所给的情境中理解并运用When is your birthday?句型询问他人生日，能根据实际情况运用My birthday is on...句型进行回答。

2. 能够在通过图片、视频的辅助及教师的引导下理解对话大意。

3. 能在设计生日派对的情境中理解并运用What will you do? 并能用I’ll... 句型进行回答。

4. 能够用正确的语音语调及意群朗读课文。

过程与方法： 1. 能够通过所给日期信息，对Mike将会做的事情进行相关猜测。

2. 能够通过观察图片，确定话题，并对对话能容进行猜测。

情感与态度：

1. 能够关心关爱父母，生日为父母做力所能及的事。

重点：1.理解When is you birthday?句型的意义，并能运用。
