一.教材分析

本单元是新目标英语Go for it的第一个预备单元,是为初学者准备的入门单元，总体内容不多，也不是很难，关键是要根据学生的心理特点和认知特点，通过多样化、趣味性的学习活动，使学生在日常生活中发现英语，提高他们的学习兴趣与自信心。同时，培养学生养成认真观察生活的良好习惯。礼貌问候用语的学习可以帮助他们树立“以礼待人”的良好行为意识，帮助他们建立正确的道德观。

教学活动

Step 1 Greetings and revision (1)

Greet the Ss. (2)

Play the Letter song (Ss follow to sing it.) (3)

Review the learned letters. (4)

Let Ss practice greeting each other with their English names. How to greet new people when they meet: A: Hello! I’m Alice. What is your name?

B: Hello, Alice! I’m Bob / My name is Bob.

A: Nice to meet you! A: Nice to meet you, too! How to greet old friends? A: Good morning / Hello / Hi, Cindy! B: Good morning / Hello / Hi, Dale! A: How are you? B: I’m fine, thanks. How are you?

A: I’m OK.

Step 2. Work on 4a

T: Now open your books and turn to page S4. Write down the children’s names below their faces. T: Then write the names in alphabetical order in the list. Check their answers. (提醒学生注意名字的第一个字母应大写。)

Step 3. Work on pronunciation

Pay attention to the four vowel sounds: / eɪ /

/ æ / by using PPT. Step 4. Work on 4b

(1) Play the recording for the first time. Ss only listen. (2) Play the recording for the second time. Ss listen and repeat. (3) Ask some Ss to read the letters and words in pairs. Step 5. Work on 4c

Ask Ss to read aloud the words on the left. Make sure they know the distinction between different pronunciations of the same letter. (2) Ask Ss to try to read the new words on the right. Move around the classroom and helps Ss if necessary. (3) Check their pronunciations. (4) Have Ss turn to page 79. Listen and read. Choose the best. Step 6. Do some exercises about the vowel sounds. Step 7. Work on 4d

(1) Play the song for the Ss to listen. (2) Have Ss listen and sing the song after the recording. (3) Have Ss sing the song together. Step 8. Language points

开音节:在一个音节中,如果一个元音字母的后面没有辅音字母,或者只有一个辅音字母(r除外),后面又带有一个不读音的字母e,这样的音节叫做开音节。

元音字母在开音节中读字母音。

闭音节: 在一个音节中,如果一个元音字母的后面只有一个或两个辅音字母(r除外),这样的音节叫做闭音节.

元音字母在闭音节中读短音。
