Through speaking practice to teach how to talk about ownership. 2.

Step 1. Warm up

1. Greetings 2. Lead in: Do a game

Tell students “If I say ‘yes’, you say ‘no’; if I say ‘no’, you say ‘yes’.”

“If I say ‘yes’, you say ‘I do’; if I say ‘no’, you say ‘I don’t’.” Then invite all

students to do this game. Step 2. Presentation

1.

Teach the sentence structure (1)

Show students a ping-pong ball, the teacher says “I have a ping-pong ball, do you have a ping-pong ball/ volleyball/ basketball..?”

Invite several students to answer the questions. (2)

Show students the picture of Peggy and George. Peggy and George are sports fans. They have many sports collection. Lead students know that Peggy has a basketball, a football, a tennis and a baseball. George has some ping-pong balls, a ping-pong bat, a basketball, a football and a baseball bat. Let students to remember the sports collection Peggy and George have. (3)

Quick memory and answer questions: Lead students to look at the

pictures, use the sentence structure “

Does she/ he have ...?/ Do they have ...?” to ask students and invite some students to answer questions. 2.

Show students the Grammar Focus (1)

Show students the Grammar Focus through PPT.

Lead students to look at the Grammar Focus, the teacher asks and students answer. (3)

Give students 3 minutes to read the Grammar Focus by themselves. Then let students read in pairs, finally read together. (4)

Point out the sentence structure and lead students to pay attention to them. Step 3. Practice

1.Teach activity 3a Show students the words in 3a, write them on the paper and put the words in a box, then invite students to pick one from it. Let students make a sentence by using the sentence structure “ Do/ Does sb have ...?.” Invite students to pick the words and make sentences one by one.

2. Teach activity 3b (1) Lead students to look at the conversations in 3b, point out that some words are missing. Ask students for help. Let students fill in the blanks with “do”

or “does”. Give students a few minutes to do it, as they do, walking around the classroom and offer help if necessary. (2) Check the answers by inviting students to read them. Pay attention to

the words “ great ,sound.”

Step 4. Production

Show the picture of Bob’s room and ask students “

Is Bob’s room tidy?”

2.

Ask students “ What does he have?”, invite several students to answer the question according to the picture. 3.

Get students to look at the short conversation in 3c, then lead students to make their own conversations according to the picture. Give students a few minutes to do it, then invite some pairs to show their conversations.

Step 5 Summary In this period,we've mainly learned some new words and how to talk about ownership by using “ Do/ Does sb have ...?”

Step 6 Homework Practice the conversations in Grammar Focus and make five conversations. Ⅳ. Blackboard design:
