Background information: Students: Senior high school students, Grade 1 Lesson duration: 40 minutes Content: vocabulary revision Teaching objectives: After 40 minutes of teaching, students should be able to: 1. be aware of some common techniques in vocabulary building; 2. grasp “with structure and the use of 6 words; 3. use the techniques in daily practice. Important points of teaching: 1. To enable students to know how they can learn vocabulary more effectively; 2. To alert students to special words which have more than one use. Teaching procedures: Step 1. warming up Play a game called “ runner, recorder and reciter”

<利用游戏，引出with的复合结构。激活学生的背景知识，并引出学生问题。〉

Step 2. check the homework Ask the students to give the answers according to the learning plan and explain the difficult points. Step 3. recite the points in limited period Ask the student to recite the words, phrases and structures in the learning paper in 3 minutes and have a PK. Step 4. do some exercises Ask the students to do the exercises and then discuss in groups. Step 5. explain the difficult ones Ask and help the students to explain the difficult questions Step 6. summarry Ask the students to fufill a passage with the words and phrases learnt in the class. Homework: Use what they’ve learnt as many as possible to write a passage
