Step One Leading-in Play an exciting song named Better City, Better Life before the class to arouse students' attraction and interests. Then show some beautiful pictures of Shanghai to the students. 1.Enjoy the song 2. Discuss some questions together and enjoy the beautiful pictures of Shanghai 通过欢快的歌曲---2010上海世博会主题曲放松身心，并营造良好氛围，调动学生兴趣和积极性。通过世博举办地上海的美丽而导出新课---A Lively City. Step Two Listening to the text Let the students listen to the conversation and try to predict the general idea, and then answer the questions on their work paper, exercise one. 1. Which city does “A Lively City” refer to?

Step Five Discussion Discuss about a city you have been to or you want to travel with your partners, then act it out. Come on! Students try to discuss freely with their classmates in groups two to four , and then perform in the class. Review the whole lesson 让学生小组进行讨论他们去过的城市或想旅行的城市，各抒己见，畅所欲言，编成对话，并表演出来。调动学生的积极性和主动性，培养其口语能力和合作意识，及交流沟通能力。

4.教学反思

A Lively City这篇文章是一篇对话，它以简洁的文字向人们展示了厦门这个富有活力的城市，

学会描述一个城市，并激发对祖国和家乡的热爱之情。本课内容包括：利用略读跳读等阅读技巧，识别关键词及确定主题句等方法来培养阅读能力，掌握推测概括的阅读方法和策略，并通过相应的练习来巩固；理解文章结构框架及复述课文；结合学生的实际生活，对教材整个模块的内容进行了整合，通过创设多种情景活动，使学生积极参与课堂活动，主动踊跃地发言，并描述自己去过的或喜欢的城市，进行激烈的讨论，并且惟妙惟肖地表演。

在整个教学过程中，我先通过一首歌曲放松心情，并以此导入新课---一个富有活力的城市，其次让学生听录音训练听力并了解文章大意，然后展示了厦门的风景建筑等图片，辅之有趣的动画图像，来调动学生的学习兴趣，之后进行阅读并通过做题来巩固，最后启发学生小组讨论一个城市，畅所欲言，并大胆自主地表演，达到课堂活动的高潮。整个课堂总体来说气氛比较活跃，学生和我配合默契，他们积极回答问题，踊跃发言，大胆地展示自我，课堂轻松愉快，教学过程比较流畅，教学效果明显。

然而我也存在着一些问题，自身还有很多不足之处和需要学习改进的地方：

1、在备课上，对学生的水平把握不够，今后应多站在学生的角度思考，充分发挥学生的主动性。

2、在启发学生思维方面、评价方面做的不够，让学生应该自主学习与归纳。

3、应多培养学生探究性学习的能力，建立“以学生为主体”的英语教学模式。

在以后的教学中我要努力克服以上缺点，积极向其他老师学习，不断改进，不断提高。
