1.Demonstrate different means of transportation

(1) Demonstrate I live far from our school. So I go to work by electric bike. Sometimes I ride my bike. Sometimes I walk to work. Then play PPT and

do actions to teach“walk / on foot, ride a bike / by bike, by electric bike / taxi / car / bus / plane / train / ship”.

(2)Play a game

Ask for volunteers to come to the front of the classroom and see flash cards of means of transportation in my hand, then do actions, the others guess and call out the correct transportation.

2.Introduce the sentences

“Do you walk to school? How do you go to school?”

Introduce that how I go to work first, then ask them with flash cards of means of transportation :“ Do you go to school by __? / Do you walk to school? / How do you go to school?”

Write these sentences on the blackboard and say them a few times with the students.

3.Practice

(1)Let the students practice the sentences below using flash cards with their friends:

Do you go to school by __?

Do you walk to school?

Do you go to school on foot? How do you go to school?

I go to school by__.

I walk to school.

I go to school on foot.

(2)Show their dialogue Ask for volunteers to show. Then I say “Someone of you goes to school on foot or by bike. How do they, Danny,Jenny,Kim,Steven, go to school? (Show the questions) Let’s have a look.
