Unit 8 Helping at home

第一课时

The first period 一、教学目标

1.语言知识目标：

（1）理解并正确读出本课的新单词。

（2）在情境中能运用所学句型：What's she/he doing? She’s/He’s…并作出相应回答。

2. 语言技能目标：

（1）听：能听懂单词发音。

（2）说：能用英语询问别人是否在做某种家务活。

（3）读：能读懂小故事的内容。

（4）写：能根据所学句型编写新的对话。

3. 情感目标：

（1）激发和保持学生学习英语的动机，使他们对课堂活动感兴趣，积极参与，实现“趣能”两得。

（2）通过生生交流和小组合作交流，培养学生的合作意识和自主学习的探究精神。

（3）通过学习家务活的单词和句子，培养学生爱劳动，爱父母，爱他人，在家做力所能及的家务的良好行为。

二、教学重点，难点。

1.教学重点：能听说认读本课的新单词和新句型。

2.教学难点：clothes的发音。

四、教学过程

Step 1 Warm-up Let’s sing Let’s enjoy a song . 【设计意图】活跃气氛，复习旧知识，为新知识的学习做好铺垫。

Step 2 Lead in & Presentation 1、The teacher take out the pictures of the park and ask “What’s he/she doing ?What are they doing ?”

（课件显示公园里有许多小朋友在做不同的事）设疑：Can you see Jenny and Tony in the park ? Where’re they?

【设计意图】通过情景设置，设疑，调动学生的学习积极性，突出学生的主体地位。

Ss:No,we can’t find them. T: OK.Let’s find them.Oh! They’re at home ,They’re very busy now.What’s Jenny doing? Ss: She’s cleaning the windows. 2、Learn the new words. (课件显示单词tea ).T:Who can read this word ?S: tea. T: Yes ,tea .What does “ea”

sound?Yes,it sounds/i:/.(课件出示新单词clean）Can you say the new word ?Have a try .

T: Cleaning the windows. [Ss: cleaning the windows.] Show the word side of the card

and put it on the board .Write cleaning next to the card .Use the same ways to learn the rest of the cards and introduce both simple form and –ing form of the verbs.

【设计意图】通过以旧带新的方法，利用知识的迁移作用，

使新旧知识保持系统性，

深入浅出，使学生容易听懂，容易学会，增强学生的信心和学习兴趣。

T:.Listen and point to each phrase. Play the tape again and have Ss repeat each phrase. 【设计意图】让学生通过听音，模仿，培养学生的听说能力。

3、Learn the sentences. T: (Point to Mom) What’s she doing? Ss :She is washing the clothes. Ask individual Ss. T: (Point to the men) What’s he doing ? Ss :He’s folding the clothes. T: Now please talk with your partners in the group. 【设计意图】通过多种形式的语言操练，齐读，同桌读，分角色读，编写新对话等形式让学生充分操练词组，为后面的活动做好语言上的准备。

Step 3 Practice T: Now let’s do some exercises.

4、Activity Games; chant ; ask and answer 【设计意图】通过找不同来生生合作操练句型，增加学习的趣味性。

Step 4 Extension 1、Guide Ss to have a Housework Talent Show. The teacher makes an example. T: Now I’m a reporter.Hello ,I want to ask you some questions. What’s she doing？

（指向台上的一位达人问）

S1: She’s sweeping the floor. T: Good ! Who wants to be the reporter now ? 【设计意图】通过“家务达人秀”活动，鼓励学生将学习成果进行展示和交流，在具体情境中运用学习的句型，进一步促进学生思维能力的发展。

2.Group work: Please talk about what you can do for others?(请谈一谈你能为别人做点什么事情）

I hope you will help your father, mother, teachers and other people do something. 让我们尽自己的能力，为家人，为老师，为别人做做家务，做一些有意义的事。

【设计意图】通过日常生活中做做家务，帮别人做做小事情，使关爱他人，热爱劳动的主题再一次得到升华。

Step 5 Summary 词组

sweep--- sweeping the floor clean --- cleaning the desk / windows wash --- washing the dishes / clothes fold --- folding the clothes 句子

What is she/he doing? She is/He is sweeping the floor. be+动词现在分词形式（+ing）

Step 6 1.Copy the new words. 2.Help your parents do housework at home.
