一、教学目标
1. 语言能力目标:学生能够读懂故事情节;惟妙惟肖地模仿录音;绘声绘色地独立朗读故事;能根据关键词描述图片并复述故事;掌握字母组合“ou”的拼读规律;能仿写故事。
2.
非语言能力目标:通过让学生观察人物表情和预测故事情节培养学生的观察力和想象力;让学生体会故事中孩子们对旧玩具的不舍;在游戏中感受jumble sale的氛围。
二、教学环节
1. 导入(Lead-in):了解
jumble sale,引入故事情景
通过观看视频,帮助学生了解jumble sale,为看图讲故事做好铺垫。
(1)教师播放Jumble Sale的动画视频,然后围绕视频提问:
What’s the school going to have? Do the children give old things or new things to the jumble sale? What did Peppa Pig buy at the jumble sale? (2)联系生活实际,与学生互动,并自然引入故事情境:
Have you ever been to a jumble sale? Do you want to go to a jumble sale? What would you like to buy or sell? Last week, Kipper’s family went to the jumble sale. What did the children buy? Let’s learn the story.
2. 看图讲故事(Storytelling):理解故事情节,体会孩子们对旧玩具的不舍
教师利用课件逐幅播放故事图片,并用丰富的表情、生动的英文和适当的肢体语言给学生绘声绘色地讲故事,让学生观察图片中孩子们的表情,体会他们对旧玩具的不舍心情。
(Picture 1)Look at picture 1. What were these? (指着扫把、水桶)
A broom and a bucket.
What were Mum and Dad doing?
They were cleaning the house, because the spring was coming. (Picture 2)Mum looked in a drawer. What was in her hands? A small T-shirt. It was old and small. There were a lot of old things on the floor, too. Dad threw these things out.
(Picture 3)The children came. They looked at the junk.
“These are our toys,” said the children. They played with the old toys.
Look! Biff played with her old teddy. Chip played with his old toy too. Kipper looked at his old T-shirt. (指向孩子们手中对应的物品)
They all looked so happy. (Picture 4)It was time for the jumble sale. Mum put the old toys in the car.
The children were sad.
(Picture 5)They all went to the jumble sale. Biff and Chip were helping to carry the boxes.
Look at Biff’s box. Oh no! All the things came out.
(Picture 6)There were a lot of old things at the jumble sale.
What can you see? (请学生看图回答)
The children wanted to buy something.
What would they buy? (请学生大胆猜测)
“What a lot of junk!” said Wilf.
(Picture 7)Look at the children. What did they see? They saw their toys.
They counted their money.(指向Biff和Chip手上的钱)
What would they do? (请学生大胆猜测)
(Picture 8)It was time to go home.
Look at the children. They had some bags.
“What’s in the bags?” said Mum. (Picture 9)Oh no!
The children bought their old toys and clothes. 教师要注意启发学生思考,每次提问之后稍作停顿,不要急于说出答案,先观察学生的反应,如学生仍回答困难,再进一步给出提示引导学生作答。
3. 听录音模仿(Listening and Imitating):听懂录音并模仿出标准的语音语调
听录音模仿时,录音是什么音什么调,就让学生模仿成什么音什么调,注意以下句子的语气及表达的不同情感:The children were sad. What a lot of junk! What’s in the bags? Oh no! (1)放录音,让学生完整地听一遍故事,整体输入,不需停顿。
(2)放录音,全班学生齐声模仿1-2遍。要求学生逐句跟读,鼓励学生大胆开口,读出戏剧化效果,读出感情。教师要引导学生用沮丧的语气读“The children were sad.”,用惊叹的语气读“What a lot of junk!”,用好奇的语气读“What’s in the bags?”,用无奈的语气读“Oh no!”。
4. 朗读故事(Reading Dramatically):读懂故事并学会绘声绘色地独立朗读故事
通过多种形式的朗读,让学生能够绘声绘色地独立朗读故事,培养学生有感情朗读故事的习惯,练就扎实的语言基本功。
(1)分组比赛朗读。将学生分成男生、女生两个组,进行小组间的朗读比赛。
(2)朗读游戏。将图片顺序打乱,并设置编号(见课件)。请不同的学生分别选取一个编号,大声朗读与编号对应的图片。
(3)个人朗读。请几名学生朗读最喜欢的一幅图。教师根据学生读的情况给予表扬、鼓励和指导。
5. 检查理解(Story Comprehension):描述故事图片,理解故事大意
(1)图片排序
教师将打印好的第1、3、5、7、9幅图打乱顺序贴在黑板上,然后请几名学生上台根据故事进行排序。
(2)描述图片
教师引导学生为每幅图找出1-2个关键词或短语,然后请5名学生将关键词或短语写在图片下方。教师根据情况给予必要的帮助和指导。关键词可参考:
图1:spring-cleaning 图3:looked at; played with 图5:went to 图7:saw; counted 图9:Oh no! (3)复述故事
教师引导学生根据图片和关键词复述故事,首先请学生进行接龙复述,然后请1-2学生独立复述整个故事。如学生有困难,教师要给予及时的帮助和指导。
6. 讨论(Discussion):讨论如何处理旧玩具,培养学生的环保意识(可选)
(1)教师围绕故事中的jumble sale进行提问,请学生回答。问题可参考:
What did Mum do with the children’s old toys? (BQ: Did she throw them out? Did she take them to the jumble sale?)
What did the children buy at the jumble sale at last? Why did they take their old toys home? (2)围绕如何处理旧玩具,让学生分组讨论,问题可参考:
Do you have any old toys or old clothes?
What do you usually do with the old things? 如学生回答有困难,教师可给出更多提示,如:take the old things to the jumble sale, help children in need, give them to friends, etc.。
7.
游戏(Games):创设真实情景,让学生体验Jumble Sale的氛围
教师模拟jumble sale的情景,让学生体验其中的文化氛围。
(1)收集旧物
教师检查学生自带的旧玩具或其它物品,并给物品标上价格。同时,教师准备一些零钱作为游戏道具。
(2)游戏:The Jumble Sale 首先,请4-5名学生带着自己的旧物上台出售,另请几名学生按照对应的价格购买自己需要的物品(教师可给学生一些零钱)。引导学生使用“I want …”、“How much is it?”、“I like …”、“I will take it.”等句型。购买后,教师可与学生进行简单的互动,如:What did you buy? 如时间充足,可换其他学生上台重复做游戏。游戏结束后,教师请学生将旧物归还原主,可鼓励学生课下进行旧物交换,各取所需。
8.
拼读练习(Practising Phonics):培养拼读意识,掌握字母组合“ou”的拼读规律
(1)让学生找出故事中含有字母组合“ou”的单词:out/count。请学生写在黑板上并说出“ou”的发音。
(2)学生两人一组,共同制作字母卡:ou/c/n/t/m/th/sh。教师给予示范和指导。
(3)教师读单词:out/count/shout/mouth,两人合作用字母卡拼单词,完成后大声朗读该单词。
