T and Ss’ Action Revision and warming-up. Free talk: a. T asks Ss questions about their school. --How many students are there in your class? Ss: There are 40 students in my class. --How many days are there in a week? Ss: There are seven days in a week.

Presentation. 1. Present the new word “day” and “week”

a. Show CAI, show a calendar, point and say “This is a day.” Then drill it .

b. Point to the calendar and make Ss to say “week”

and drill it .Pay attention to the pronounce of “ee”. 2. T ask “How many days are there in a week? Ss answer “There are seven days in a week.”

3. Drill the sentences. 4. Ss practice in pairs. 5. T: What’s the first day in a week?
