It was to draw attention to the sufferings of blacks in the southern states of the USA. King described the kind of world that black campaigners were hoping for. Objectives

To read and enjoy the passage I have a dream

To learn to use the language by reading, listening, speaking and writing Procedures 1. Leading in by watching the video I have a dream which was given by Martin Luther King and discussing some background information. 2. Warming up by listening and reading aloud Let’s listen to the recording of the text on page 6 first and then read the passage aloud. Then try to have a good understanding of the content.

3. Reading and underlining Next you are to read and underline all the useful expressions or collocations in the passage. Copy them into your notebook after class as homework.
