Arriving in Beijing 一、教材内容分析：

本课时是冀教版五年级英语下册第二单元的第一课，课文内容是延续上一单元李明、Jenny、Danny和李夫人一行四人去北京旅行，现在到达北京火车站，在车站谈论的一些话题。教学内容贴近学生生活，有利于培养他们在真实情境中用英语进行交际的能力。本课涉及到了一些复杂的可数名词单数变复数的词汇及句型，在教学中应该注意帮助学生进行归类总结。在口语交际时，也要注意句型中单复数的正确应用。

二、学生情况分析：

本班学生性格活泼，对英语兴趣浓厚，比较喜欢分角色朗读及对话表演等形式。对于名词单复数，学生对可数名词变复数（+s）的形式很熟悉，对其他变复数形式知道的较少。本课中出现的特殊变化形式（men\women\children），学生是初次接触。学生对单复数句型变化有所了解，但应用中还不熟悉，经常会出现错误。在教学中应该注重口语练习，以巩固所学知识。

三、教学目标：

1、知识与技能目标：

（1）使学生能听懂、说出并认读单词“men、women、children、people 、many、everyone”。

并能正确运用“ men 、 women 、children”这些名词的单、复数形式。

2、过程与方法目标：

（1）学生通过小组合作学习，能够运用所学英语知识来表达看到的事情，更轻松地进行语言操练，并体验小组合作的收获与愉悦。

（2）学生通过多媒体课件展示，整体感知学习内容，接受语言信息，体验感受旅行的快乐，激发生活情趣。

（3）学生通过小组互相评价，更清晰地认识自我，体验合作，感受成功。并能够积极参与、努力实践。

3、情感态度价值观：

（1）培养学生较好的文化意识与英语语感。

（2）增强学生合作意识及良好的竞争意识。

2、学生能够利用本课所学知识进行情感交际练习。

七、教学过程

Step 1:Class opening and review

1、Sing a song. “Do you know this man?”

（设计意图：教师与学生一起sing，有利于激发学生的学习兴趣，激活学生原有的知识this, that, boy, girl, man, woman, 为学习新知识做必要的准备）

2、Greeting: Hello! Boys and girls! How are you? Are you happy? Now let’s look out of the window. How’s the weather today? It’s sunny.

I like sunny days, because we can go on trips.

Do you want to go on a trip with me? 3、Before our trip, let’s enjoy some pictures first. They are famous places in Beijing. Okay, let’s see. What can you see in the picture?

Ss:

train station , the Palace Museum , the Great Wall，Bird Nest,Water cube( The Olympic Games were held in Beijing in 2008), the Summer Palace, Beihai Park (They are beautiful places, right?) We know Beijing is the capital city of China. Beijing is great. We love Beijing.

4、Today we’ll go on a trip to Beijing. How do we go to Beijing? Okay, let’s go to Beijing by train. This is a train. A train is very fast. Now we’re on the train.

We can look out of the window on the train. What can you see? （Review “I see……”）

Sept 2:New concept

（一）New Words 1、课件出示boy, girl, child图，What can you see? This is a boy. This is a girl. We also can say: A boy is a child. A girl is a child too. Child is a new word. Who is a boy? Hands up, please. Who is a girl? Hands up, please. Who is a child? The boy is a child. The girl is a child, too. Boys and girls are children. There are some differences between child and children. This is a child. These are many children. 2、课件出示man图，What can you see? This is a man. / One man. 课件出示men图, Is this a man?

No, these are men. / Many men. 3、用同样的形式，课件展示学习woman, women等单词。

4、课件出示people图, Men, women and children are people.板书，拼读people. 5、Let’s have a chant. This is a child, child , child , child. These are children, children, children, children. This is a man, man, man, man. These are men, men, men, men. This is a woman, woman, woman, woman. These are women, women, women, women. These are people, people, people, people. （设计意图：通过多媒体课件出示单词直观、形象，能吸引学生的注意力，激发学习兴趣，并在教授单词时展示各个词之间的联系，渗透给学生学习策略。）

（二）New text

1、课件出示Beijing Train Station图, Look, what’s this place?

It’s Beijing Train Station.Oh, We arrive in Beijing. There are so many people in the train station. What are they doing?(出示图片，学生回答问题) Ss: They are buying tickets. They are playing cards. They are crying. They are reading books. 2、Li Ming, Danny, Jenny and Mrs. Li are in the train station. What do they see in the train station? Now let’s watch the video. 3、Here I have some questions for you. This time you can read the text by yourselves and then answer my questions. 1）When do they arrive in Beijing? 2) What do they see on their way to the hotel? 3)What do you know about Beijing? 4、Look at this picture, what is it? Yes, park. Now Li Ming, Danny, Jenny and Mrs. Li leave the train station, they go to the park. There are many people in the park, such as women, men and children. What are they doing? Let’s see. 出示PPT图片，朗读句子。

（设计意图：学生带着问题听录音，可以帮助学生理解文本大意，利于培养学生语言理解能力。适当的评价，会激发学生的学习兴趣。）

Step 3:Practice

1、Show the students some pictures. Talk about the pictures and use the sentences like “What are the people/men/women/children doing? These people are ___ing. These men are ____ing. These women are _____ing. These children are ____ing. （设计意图：学生结组进行对话练习，巩固所学知识，并培养合作意识，增强综述能力。）

2、In this class, all of you did a good job, especially Team_. They have _ smile faces. Congratulations! Step 4: Class Closing

1、Homework：Finish the Exercise Book 2、Draw a picture and introduce about the people in the picture, then write down some sentences. 3、Enjoy a video to finish the class. These are golden medals in 2008 Olympic Games. We can say China is great! We love our country! （设计意图：在奥运会奖牌的视频中结束课堂，培养学生语感的同时，增强对祖国的热爱）。
