课堂设计指导思想：

在刚刚的结束的北京奥运会中中国代表队取得了很好的成绩，这很大程度上让学生受到了鼓舞，所以用罗格在奥运会上的发言和奥运会的开幕式作为导入，很能吸引学生的兴趣。接着展开奥运知识抢答能让学生真正参与其中。课文相对来讲比较简单明了，通过快速阅读，细节阅读和深层次阅读并辅之以适当的练习，能很好的帮助学生理解课文并能根据适当的提示来进行课文复述，最后根据学生的认知，给他们进行话题讨论。课后的写作练习能帮助他们巩固课文的内容。

Teaching procedures:

Step 1

Lead-in The teacher starts the lesson with a short video about the Olympics as well as a series of pictures taken in the opening ceremony of the Beijing Olympics. 【设计说明】用罗格和北京奥运会的开幕式的照片很能吸引学生的眼球，引起他们的兴趣。同时能很好的引出我们要讲的主题：奥运会。

Step 2

Competition Divide students into two groups, one point for each correct answer to check what they’ve known about the Olympics. 【设计说明】通过奥运知识抢答，大大活跃了课堂气氛。

Step 3

Fast reading Raise three questions from the reading passage, ask students read it quickly to find out the answers directly. 【设计说明】通过快速阅读，培养让学生养成带着问题阅读的习惯。

Step 4

Detailed reading Check students understanding of the passage by giving several forms of exercises. 【设计说明】通过改错练习，填空题等形式帮助学生完成课文的理解。
