教学内容：

六下Unit 4 Road safety Story time （第一课时）

教学目标：

1.在情景中整体理解Story time的内容。

2.在

Story time 的学习过程中掌握有关道路交通方面的新词

road, light, zebra crossing, pavement, look out for, easily, rules, follow，体会情态动词must及其否定must not 的用法，并能简单区分形容词safe,名词safety及副词safely的不同。

3.能用正确的语音语调朗读Story time。

4.能理解道路安全知识，尝试用英语说说道路交通规则。

5.能牢记过马路的交通规则，树立安全意识。

教学过程：

Step 1 Pre-reading Teach: road , safe, safety, safely, cross, rules 1.Free talk: (Talk about habits.) T: Do you have a good habit?

Do you have a bad habit?

What good habits do you have?

What bad habits do you have? S: (Answer the questions above) 2. Look at some pictures. (看一些行人、司机等交通图片) 1）Watch and judge. Do they have a good habit or a bad habit?

Ss: A good habit.\A bad habit. 2）T：总结Every day, we walk or drive on the road. We must follow the rules to be safe.(学习生词rule) 【设计意图】读前通过Free talk引入，以“habits”为主题让同学们进行讨论，一方面复习第二三单元的知识，另一方面引入本课课题。

3.Lead-in:

T：揭题：Look at the screen .Here are some pictures from our books.What are they talking about? Let’s make a choice. 1) Talk about Traffic lights. Different colours mean different things. What

do they mean? Red man means stop, green man means go, yellow man means wait. 2) Show another two titles. Chose the best one. 3) Today we are going to talk about “Road safety”.(学习生词safety) 板书：Unit 4 Road safety

【设计意图】通过出示的图片让学生分析本课主题，给出三个选项供学生选择。在选择的同时将本课中有关的知识点进行必要的疏通，降低学生阅读的难度。同时引出本课课题“Road safety”。

Step 2 While-reading （Story time）

1.Read the text quickly by yourselves and try to find out the main idea sentence. (快速读课文，尝试找出文章的中心句。) Follow the rules and stay safe on the road.（熟读中心句）

2.学习课文第一部分

T: How can we cross the road safely ？Let’s learn from the storytime.

1）Read freely 2）Try to answer with “first…,then…”

学生自读完之后用自己的语言归纳。

Read together Finish the form: At the zebra crossing first Look at the traffic lights then Wait for the green man Teach: green\red man T: What is the green man? What is the red man? What do they mean? The policeman tells us. Let’s read and act.

4）Read and act the policeman. T: When the light is green , that means we can cross the road When the light is red, that means we must not cross the road. Act the policeman. 2. 自读课文，学习课文第二部分

T:But sometimes you cannot find a zebra crossing near you.How can we cross the road safely? 1)Read freely. And try to get the main imformation. 2)Line down the answers of these queations. Questions：

①Where must we wait before we cross the road? ②What should we do when we wait? ③How should we look out for the traffic? ④Is it a good idea to cross the road with other people? Why? 3)Checkout the answers. 回答问题并完成表格信息。

T: What can you see in the pictures? Ss: Some boys are playing football by the road. A boy is skating\running on the road. T: Is it safe? Why? Ss: Because there are many cars and bikes on the road. So what rules do you know? Ss: We must not run or play on the road. T: We must follow the rules and stay safe on the road! 4. 整理理解，巩固

1) Watch and repeat. 2) Reading the text. 3) Think and write.( 书上P 38) 【设计意图】While-reading （Story time）部分使用总——分——总的方式进行阅读理解文本。先让学生浏览课文找出中心句，接下来在老师引导下分析文本的第一部分，然后以学生为主自主分析文本第二三部分，最后整理文本，对文本内容加以提炼，巩固所学知识,并完成课本P 38第一题。

Why yes.\ Why no. 【设计意图】在学生大概掌握课文内容后，锻炼学生的总结分析能力，先对文本进行必要的总结，说出课文中每部分的主要内容。然后完成课本P 38第二题，锻炼学生分析问题组织语言的能力。

Step 4 Consolidation 1.看图并思考有哪些驾车安全规则，尝试英语描述；

合作完成一份“驾车安全”规则制定。

2.分组进行展示，将优秀作品张贴在黑板上共同分享。

3.Learn some proverbs about the road safety. Never forget about safety. Safety is as simple as ABC--- Always Be Careful. 4.Homework. 1)

【设计意图】将课文内容进行延伸，让学生继续了解一些驾车安全规则，并尝试用英语进行描述，合作完成一份“驾车安全”规则制定。家庭作业中除了布置学生掌握课文，更要求学生们将自己学到的知识面向家庭和社会进行传播，让大家都能够更全面地了解交通安全及更深刻地明白交通安全的重要性。
