This lesson is Module 2 Unit 5 Friends,which is from Oxford Teaching English 5A.This unit can be divided into three periods.This lesson materials

is the first period.It aims to compare the same and different hobbies about you and your friend .

About the Our students are in Grade 5.They are active ,curious and interested in new things.They learn English for more than two years.They’ve got basic knowledge of English.They love listening students

and speaking English.

1)The knowledge aim:to be able to read,say and use the key words of this unit,they are same and different. Teaching 2)The ability aim:to be able to describe the hobbies of a friend,and aims

describe the same hobbies by using the sentence pattern We both like... 3)The moral aim: to experience precious friendship and feel

the happiness with friends.

Teaching key and difficult points

1)Key points: 

Words:clever,same,class,both,heavy,different

Sentence pattern:We both like ... 2)Difficult points: 

To add the before using the word same.

Compare the usage between both and all. Teaching Listen and enjoy, listen and say , look and learn

Teaching procedures: Pre-task preparations 1. Greeting

T: I’m Kitty. Nice to meet you ! Ss:Nice to meet you ,too. 2.Free talk

T:I have a friend.Her name’s Alice.She has an animal friend.Who’s she? (play Listen and enjoy) Ss:The dog. 【设计意图】通过学生熟知的Kitty来介绍,可以快速地进入到Listen and enjoy的学习当中,也为接下来的对话教学做好铺垫。

While-task procedures 1. Learn the focus words 1)T:(Show Picture 1 )We come from Happy Primary School.We’re in Grade 5.I’m in Class 2 .What about Alice? S1:She’s in Class 2 too. T:Yes.We’re in the same class.Same. Ss:Same. 2)Look and learn Show two pictures for same and different from Look and learn

. T: Look at this picture .Are they the same? Ss:Yes,they are the same./No,they are different. 3)Sharp eyes

Show some pictures to practice students’ ability to say same or different. 【设计意图】same 和different 这两个单词的教学是本课时的一大重点,在突破这一重点时,先抓住对话中We’re in the same class这一句作为切入点,再进行单词对比教学,后续再通过火眼金睛的游戏进行巩固练习。

2.Learn the word both 1)T:(Show Picture 2 )What do Kitty and Alice like doing? S1:Kitty likes playing table tennis and Alice likes playing volleyball. T:We both like sport.(show the flashcard for both)Both. Ss:Both.

2)Make a comparison

Show two pictures and compare the usage between both and

all. 【设计意图】通过出示两张图片,引导学生自主探索如何完成填空练习,并尝试思考总结both

和all

的用法区别,从而突破这一教学难点。

3.Learn the phrase of help people,each other T:(Show Picture 3)What else do Kitty and Alice both like doing?

S1:They both like helping people.

T:(Show Picture 4)How do they feel?

S1:They are happy.

T:Kitty likes Alice and Alice likes Kitty too.They like each other.

4.Little voice actor Listen and read in groups,then ask four students to read it in the class. 【设计意图】通过小小配音员的游戏进行朗读训练,以提高学生的阅读兴趣,进而激发他们的朗读欲望。

Look!Here is a big tree.There are some words fruits on the tree.They are clever,class,heavy,same,both,different.We both like...I’m happy to make friends with you .Are you happy? We are good friends now. 【设计意图】总结课堂时,板书以树的形象来总结归纳本课时的重点内容,让学生可以直观的看到树上的字母果实就是他们这节课的收获,并从中体会到和朋友一起相处的乐趣。
