一、不定冠词

a/an 的用法

1、不定冠词与数次one 同源，相当于汉语的“一”但不强调数目概念，用于单数可数名词前，泛指某一些人或物中的“任何一个”。在辅音音素前用a,在元音音素前用an. 如：a European country, an hour, an honest man ...... ----Could you tell me the way to the Johnsons, please ? ----Sorry, we don’t have a Johnson here in the village.

二、定冠词the 的用法

1、用在世界上独一无二的人或事、自然现象、表示方位或表示发明物等的名词前。

As is known to us, the sun rises in the east and sets in the west.

Bell invented the first telephone in 1876. 注意：有些物体虽然也是独一无二的，但习惯上却用零冠词。

2、用在序数词和形容词最高级前

1、连系动词turn后作表语的单数可数名词不用冠词，但名词前若有形容词作定语时，则通常加冠词。

Child as/though she is, she plays the violin perfectly. 3、在某些独立主格结构，如：“单数名词+介词短语”中，名词前不用冠词。

He rushed into the classroom, book in hand. 4、no 与such 连用时应放在such 之前，such 后的名词不用冠词

No such thing has ever happened in this village. 5、一个兼多种身份的情况，只在第一个名词前使用冠词，其他名词前不再使用冠词
