Book 1 Module 4 Grammar Present perfect tense ----written by Xiao Tian Teaching aims: Make students understand the basic concept of present perfect tense and can use it correctly. Teaching contents: Present perfect tense. Teaching important points: The usage of the present perfect tense and some special sentence patterns that are related to it. Teaching difficult points: Some special sentence patterns that are related to the present perfect tense. Teaching aids: Blackboard, ppt, chalk Teaching methods: Induction. Teaching procedures:

Step 1 lead-in: Use a question (Have you ever been to Beijing?) to lead out the topic---present perfect tense.

Step 2 Explain the basic concept and formation of present perfect tense to students. Step 3 Show students some examples and then induce the usage of present perfect tense. 1. 表示动作到现在为止已经完成或刚刚完成。

e.g.I have finished my work. We have set up many new factories. 2. 动作发生在过去, 强调对现在的结果、影响等，常与already, yet, just，recently，ever，never, before, so far, up to now, till now等连用。 e.g. Have you ever seen the film “Harry Potter”?

I’ve spent 3 years in the countryside.

表示动作发生在过去, 并且一直持续到现在, 甚至还可能继续下去, 常与for，since，in the past / last + 时间段，in recent years, all one’s life等连用。

e.g. We haven’t seen each other for ten years.

I’ve been an English teacher for about 20 years.

4. 现在完成时可以用在条件或时间状语从句中, 表示将来某个时刻之前已经完成的动作。

e.g. I’ll go home as soon as I have finished my homework. Please lend me that book if you have finished reading it. Step 4 Tell students some special sentence patterns which are related to present perfect tense. 1.现在完成时+since + 时间点

2.现在完成时+ for+ 时间段

3.It is / has been + 一段时间 + since从句

4.It / This/ That is the first /其他序数词/ last +time + that 从句中, 从句使用现在完成时。

5.It / This/ That is the+形容词的最高级+ that 从句中, 从句使用现在完成时。

Step 5 Explain the differences between the present perfect tense and the past simple tense. Step 6 Ask students to do some exercises to test whether they have understood the present perfect tense or not. Step 7 Summary: Let students summarize what they have learnt in this class. Step 8
