二、学情分析:
六年级的学生,通过三年多的英语学习和积累,他们有了一定的听说读写的基础,具备一定的自学能力,能积极参与各种课堂的学习活动,有保护环境、爱护动物的意识。 三、设计理念
:
让学生通过看、听、说、问答等活动多方位地学习巩固本课的教学内容,让孩子们充分认识到保护动物的重要性,牢固树立保护环境、保护动物的理念。
四、教学目标:
1、知识与技能:能理解故事大意,并能回答与课文内容有关的问题;能根据图片和关键词复述故事。
2、学习策略:通过看图、听音、问题引导等方式让学生去理解文章意思,看关键词或用自己的语言去复述文章。对学生给与积极地评价和引导,增强他们的自信心。 3、情感态度:能够积极参与课堂活动,完成学习任务;通过学习,对动物保护的意义有更加深刻的理解,并身体力行地保护环境,从自身做起。
四、教学重点和难点:
对澳大利亚珍稀动物树袋熊的介绍;drive a car along the road; in front of; with sth.on one’s back; walk off the road; do one’s best to do sth. 五、教学准备:
PPT、视频、卡片等
六、教学过程:
Step 1 : Warming-up 1、Greetings。
2、观看树袋熊的视频。了解它的生活环境和习性。
Step 2: Presentation 1、T:(拿树袋熊母子图片贴于黑板上)Today we’ll study

并板书。
2. Listen to the tape, try to answer the questions. When did the story happen? Where did the story happen? What was the writer doing when the story happened?
学生回答老师板书。

3、T:I was driving my car along the road in Australia. What happened next? 学生看书圈出答案。提问一些学生回答。
画简笔画公路,贴小汽车图片; 演示情景Suddenly the cars in front of me stopped. Igot of my car to have a look. T:How many cars in front of the writers’s? 学生在书中找出答案。
T:What did the writer see when he walked to the first car? 提问学生回答。
重点句讲解:I saw a mother koala with a baby on her back. 图片、动作演示,让学生理解这句话的意思。
例句:I saw a girl with a bag on her back. I saw a teacher with a book in her hand. T: What did the mother koala do? S: She sat down in the middle of the road. T: At last, did the koala walk off the road? 学生回答。
T: Are there many koalas in the world? 学生答:No, koalas are rare in the world. T:How many kinds of animals are talked after the passage? 提问学生。
Step3: Practice 1、听音跟读。 2、老师示范复述课文。
3.学生自己试着看图和关键词复述短文。
4、提问一些学生复述。
Step 4:Expantation
看一些因环境污染和人为伤害造成的动物死亡的图片。
T:What’s your feeling after watching the pictures? What should we do to protect the animals? 学生讨论并回答。
Step 5: Summary
Animals are our friends, we should do our best to protect them.
