学情分析:

四年级学生有着很强的表现欲望,因此在课堂上应多设计可以供学生发挥、创造的活动,给学生更多的表现空间。

教学目标:

1、能听说读写四会单词:am when birthday

2、能灵活运用句型:How old are you?

When is your birthday?

3、能准确熟练地朗读对话,并学会运用。

4、能询问他人年龄,并作出回答,但在现实生活中,要注意中西文化差异。

5、尊重他人的隐私。

教学重点:

用How old are you?询问他人年龄,并能用I’m _ years old.回答。

教学过程:

Step 1:Warming up

1、Greeting.

T:Hello,boys and girls.How are you?

S:Hello,teacher. I’m fine,thanks.And you?

Step 2:New concepts

1、Show a picture about the teacher.(courseware display)

T:Who is this?

S:Teacher.

T:Yes,this is me. I’m thirty-three years old,how old are you?

(设计意图:通过教师自身图片,既贴近现实生活,又激发学生兴趣,引起学生好奇心。)

2、Show the topic and learning aims.

Ask the students to read.Know about learning aims. 3、Ask some students to say“How old are you? I’m _ years old.”(one by one)

4、Ask the students to say in groups.

5、The students show in front of the classroom. (Give them flowers,encourage students.)

6、Show other picture.

T:Everyone has a birthday,I have a birthday,too.My birthday is July 27.When is your birthday?

(设计意图:仍然用学生熟悉图片引入,学生便于接受,用于实际生活。)

7、First,ask some volunteers to say.Then ask students to say in groups.At last,show us.

(They will get flowers)

8、Show Danny and Steven’s picture.Ask students to answer the questions.

Read part 1,find out the answers,then answer.
