III. Teaching procedures

Step 1: Lead-in 1.

Watch a clip from Friends and think: What caused the misunderstanding? T:

“Got the keys?” She meant, did you get the keys? “Got the keys.” She meant, you got the keys. So that’s the tone that makes the difference. 【设计意图】：中国孩子在口语表达中不太注重语调，而这又是与外国友人交际中非常重要的一个部分，因此先通过《老友记》中因语调错误而产生误解的片段引入，让学生意识到语调的重要性。

【设计意图】：在书本练习的基础之上创设情境：在去看电影的路上可能会发生的事。问路是这个单元的话题，爆米花和饮料也是看电影的标配，两个情境学生既感兴趣也有足够的语言支撑。在自主编对话和表演对话的过程中，学生对恰当地使用不同语调有了更深入的理解和体验。

3. Try to find the answer in the shortest time. 【设计意图】：《阿甘正传》是一部非常经典的英文电影，借由其中的经典台词“生活就像一盒巧克力，你永远也不知道下一块会是什么味道”引出猜猜盒子里是什么的小活动。学生在一问一答的过程中增强对不同句式语调的使用频度，在练习中熟悉不同语调。

【设计意图】：在本节课的开头就引入了配音环节，在课的结束部分精选学生感兴趣的电影片段（难易度适中），让学生在浓厚的兴趣和愉快的氛围中结束课堂上音调学习和体验。最重要的是在课后学生能够自主地进一步体验，完成自己的第一个配音作品并与同学交流。老师在学生展示之前先放一段自己录的音，使更多的学生跃跃欲试、也增进师生交流。

Step 5：Conclusion 15. T: It’s a good way to improve your tones by watching and imitating English movies.

Practice makes perfect. 【设计意图】：总结提升，引导学生关注：真正想要提高英语的口语、特别是语音语调，就要多听多模仿，英文电影是一个非常不错的选择；提高口语的语音语调一定要多练，记住熟能生巧。课上的学习是有限的、美好的体验也是一时的，在兴趣的驱使下将好的方法延伸到课后才是更重要的。

IV．Blackboard design

教学反思：

本节课关于音调的学习我认为是非常有价值的，因为孩子们长期对于英语口语的关注不足，事实上生活中有大量的提高英语口语的学习素材—例如孩子们感兴趣的英文电影。学习英语对于初中阶段的孩子们来说更多的是模仿、然后才是表达，激发孩子们模仿的兴趣、引发孩子们表达的需要，是我这节课设计的出发点和围绕的核心。令人欣喜的是，整节课孩子们基本实现了我的教学目标，同时他们乐在其中、学有所获，最重要的是在课后，孩子们纷纷提交配音作品，那些都是他们千锤百炼的成果。也许这就为相当一部分孩子喜爱英语、自主学习埋下了希望的火种。今后的教学中应深入实践，再接再厉！
