Step1 Show students a diary with some pictures of Mount Qiyun to lead in the topic-simple past tense. Step2 Brief reading of the diary to find out what the tense is. Step3 Get familiar with more adverbials of time for simple past tense. Step4 Find out more past forms of verbs in the diary .Here two columns namely regular ,and irregular verbs are explained in different ways. Step5 After explaining,a game followed. Step6 Students are required to make sentences using simple past tense.
