(2) Be able to read or retell the story as good as possible.

3. Culture: Help students to understand there are some special signs in our life. Sometimes these special signs can help us back home.

(1) Using the key words to retell the story.

(2) Acting the dialogue vividly.

III. Difficulty:

(1)Be able to use the key words to retell the story.

(2)Giving an opening idea of what we can do with stones. IV. Teaching aids: multimedia, blackboard, etc.

Hansel and Gretel’s stepmother does not like them. She wants to leave them in the forest. Hansel hears her. So he puts some stones in his pocket.

The next day the stepmother takes the children into the forest. On the way to the forest, Hansel drops the stones. Soon they are in the middle of the forest. Their stepmother lets them stay in the forest. But she does not come back.

Gretel is afraid. But Hansel isn’t. He is clever. He drops some stones on the way. They can follow the stones back home. Hansel and Gretel find their way back home. Their father is very happy to see them again.
