教学指导思想：新课标提出，外国语是学习科学文化知识，获取世界各方面信息和进行国际交流的重要工具。新课标还要求发展听，说，读，写的基本技能，提高初步运用英语进行交际的能力，但任何能力的提高都是建立在词汇的基础上。因此，我在本课时尤以引出与临危动物有关的词汇和短语为主，只有扎实打牢学生的词汇关，才能全面提到学生的英语能力。

教材分析The analysis of the teaching material.

This lesson is an introduction to the main topic, including some basic new words and phrases of the reading passages. It plays an important role in this module. Through this lesson , students can improve their speaking ability and learn more words and more about the animals in danger. At the same time, we should get the students to learn to retell the reading materials and know how to use the new words and phrases..The students should do some listening, speaking, and writing, too. Of course, the students should receive some moral education. They will know how to love, protect and help save the animals in danger. 学情分析Something about the students: 1. The students have known something about some kinds of animals in danger through the Internet and TV . 2.

They are lacking in vocabulary. 3.

They don’t often use English to talk about this topic and they have some difficulty in expressing themselves and communciating in English. 4.

Some students are not active in class because they are shy and nervous.

教学步骤.Teaching procedures:

Step1: Revision.

Revise the contents of the last module by checking the homework.

Step2: Leading—in

Show a short movie and let the students think of the topic of this module--- Animals in Danger.

Step3: Pictures-watching 1.

Ask the students to name some kinds of animals in danger by looking at some pictures. 2.

Ask the students to say something about the present living conditions of these animals.

Step4: Reading: 1.

Ask some individual students to read the three paragraphs one by one and say what’s the main idea of each paragraph. 2.

Ask the students to read the paragraphs together and say something detailed about each paragraph.

1).The Siberian tiger – one of the most beautiful animals / rarest /1,000 are left / some live in Hunchun / government creates the reserve to save them. 2). The giant panda—habitatis in China / the symbol / endangered / the number increases to 1,590. 3). Wild animals and plants – exinct / 12,000 animals are in danger

3. Retell the paragraphs together . Step5: New words . 1.

Ask the students to find new words and try to guess the meaning of them by matching them with the meanings. 2.

Ask the students to translate the new words into Chinese reach them the new words.

Step6: Practice : Ask the students to translate some sentences using new words and phrases. 1.

Step7: Discussion.

If we want to know how to help the endangered animals , first of all we should know why they are becoming extinct. What are the important reasons and what are the examples?

Ask the students to discuss the reasons why some animals are in danger and give some examples. 1.

They are killed for body parts or food. 2.

People want them for pets. 3.

People have moved into their natural habitat. 4.

They are killed by pollution. 5.

They are killed by climate change.

Step8: Consolidation.

Revise the new words and useful phrases in this lesson. Step9: Homework.

Ask the stndents to write a passage about what we can do to help save the animals in danger. 教学反思:

听，说，读，写是英语学习中四个重要环节，而且本单元的内容是以临危动物为话题，而本节课的重点是speaking and vocabulary,因此，本堂课我以听和看的形

式引入Animals in Danger这一话题，以讨论和词汇练习进行说和读的课堂操作，又以对

新单词和短语的操练来进行写的练习而对本节课进行收尾。

由于本单元的

话题为

每个人所熟悉，学生的课堂反应较为积极，而且采用头脑风暴的形式来引出新单词，学生自由发挥的空间大，大多数学生都能积极参与到课堂上来，这一点基本达到了预期目标。但学生口语表达较为薄弱。

本堂课的重点内容是与临危动物有关的单词引入和对如何表达这些动物的生存环境的有用短语的训练，因此这部分采用了大量的说和读的练习，也基本收到了预期效果。只是学生对一些短语不太熟悉，因此时间上略显仓促了一点，

今后还要加强学生基本功的训练。

本节课所采用的教学策略，多媒体手段的运用，以及问题情景的创设等教学环节都较为成功。

Hello, everyone. Today I’m very pleased to have an opportunity to talk about some of my teaching ideas. My topic is Animals in Danger taken from Module six (必修5). It is made up of four parts.

Part 1: My understanding of this lesson

The analysis of the teaching material.

This lesson is an introduction to the main topic, including some basic new words and phrases of the reading passages. It plays an important role in this module. Through this lesson , students can improve their speaking ability and learn more words and more about the animals in danger. At the same time, we should get the students to learn to retell the reading materials and know how to use the new words and phrases..The students should do some listening, speaking, and writing, too. Part 3: Teaching procedures /steps

I have designed the following steps to train the students’ ability of listening, speaking, reading and writing, especially speaking ability. Step1: Revision.

Revise the contents of the last module by checking the homework.

Step7: Discussion.

In my opinion, the blackboard design can reflect the teacher’s ability of mastering the text and leading the students to master the text easily. In this lesson , the design is not easy to write ,because most of the contents are shown on the screen. The purpose of this lesson is to make the students master some new words , so I only write the phonetics of new words..I want to make the design inductive, instructive and artistic.
