本教学设计是以《普通高中英语课程标准（2017年版）》中的基本理念为依据，旨在构建多元的英语课程结构，以满足高中学生个性发展的需求。以语篇为依托，积极创设主题情境，活用教学资源，通过丰富而有层次的学习活动，鼓励学生在与文本和他人的互动中，获得语言知识和文化知识，并通过学习理解、应用实践、迁移创新等一系列语言、思维与文化相结合的活动，引导学生获取、整合、内化信息、理解和表达观点、情感和态度，学会分析问题、解决问题，形成正确的价值观，发展语言能力和学习能力，提升思维品质，培养文化意识，落实英语学科核心素养

本教学设计的教学内容是人教版选修十Unit1 Nothing ventured,

nothing gained，授课类型是语法课。语篇不仅为学生发展语言技能和形成学习策略提供语言和文化素材，还为学生形成正确的价值观提供平台。因此，教师在设计这节语法课时，以文本为依托，以“学以致用”为原则，进行以下设计：首先以猜测名人游戏为导入，然后让学生依托文本合作、探究充当定语的词类和句子。最后，用定语介绍名人和讨论如何为国家做贡献。

本课的文本是Shackleton和他的队友在南极洲的探险经历，其中含有大量的定语。本文的价值取向在于学生通过本文语法的学习，体味探险精神，联系生活实际，为祖国建设做出自己的贡献。为了深入探究这个语法项目和本文的价值取向，我增加了勾践和夏伯渝的故事。
