Knowledge objective :

Enable ss to master the key words and key phrases and improve ss’

communicative competence about making crafts B.

Process and methods:

SLT --- Construct the situation for ss to arouse ss’ curiosity and interest. TBLT --- Associate the key words and sentence patterns with some tasks

such as making a plan ,making some crafts and giving some crafts away as some presents. GCL -- Answer some questions, making crafts in groups. C.

Emotional objective:

To improve ss’

practical ability and creative ability , arouse their confidence and tell them ‘Where there is a will there is a way.’. ★

Teaching key points Key words: glue, tape , scissors ,crafts

Sentence patterns: 1. What do you want to make ? I want to make a crown. 2. What do you need ? I need ... 3. What are you making ? I’m making a toy plane.

Expanding knowledge :

a pair of scissors , three pairs of scissors , glue stick

the present continuous tense.

Teaching Procedures:

Step 1

Lead-in

Watch a video and answer a question.

Step 2 Presentation

Lead out key words such as glue, tape and scissors and the sentence patterns by making a crown to arouse ss’ curiosity.

Focus on the sentence patterns by presenting of dialogue . Step 3 Practice

A.

Listen and answer. Focus on the sentence pattern and tenses.

B. Group- work . Discussion in groups. Listen again and read. Focus on the comprehension of the dialogue.

Step 4 Exercise & Consolidation

Comprehensive exercises. Practice by constructing the real situation and making crafts. Step 5 Emotional sublimation
