一、教材分析

1.单元及课文分析

本单元的日常生活用语主要围绕“Travel in Beijing”这一话题展开。教材为学生提供了Li Ming , Mrs. Li , Jenny and Danny 一起游览北京的天安门广场，故宫和长城，并且到王府井购物这些场景。帮助学生理解并掌握外出游玩和观赏时常用的英语表达方式。

本节课是冀教版六年级下册第二单元In Beijing的故事课，通过主人公游览长城的情境巩固本单元有关长城的特点：old and long.呈现中国人对长城的习惯称呼、有关长城的谚语以及如何爱护长城、保护周围环境。

2．教学目标

知识与技能目标：1.在老师的帮助下读懂故事、了解有关长城的简单信息。

2.能朗读故事并在老师的帮助下复述表演故事。

学习策略目标：通过创设情境并设疑问来培养学生的阅读策略。

文化意识目标：

1.保护周围环境，爱护名胜古迹，树立文明旅游意识。

2.培养对首都北京的热爱和增强民族自豪感。

教学重点：抓重点词句理解故事。

b. He who does not go to the Great Wall is not a true man.

教学难点：简要复述和表演故事。

教学准备：课件、图片。

二、教学过程

StepⅠ Class opening 1.Greeting to the students. 2.Free talk T:We will go on a trip to Beijing. What do you know about Beijing? (教师通过多媒体课件出示天安门广场，故宫，王府井大街以及长城的图片) 指名回答。 3.T:Now, I am a guide. Let’s climb the Great Wall. Do you want to go on a trip with me? Come on, boys and girls! 设计意图：通过对北京名胜古迹图片的回顾激活学生的原有知识，给学生营造了一个轻松愉悦的学习氛围，调动学生的旅游兴趣，进而调动学生的学习积极性。

StepⅡ Presentation 1.Pre-reading: T：What do you know about the Great Wall? (在黑板上出示长城的简笔画。）

S：It is long and old. 设计意图：激活学生对长城的原有认知，为读故事做好铺垫，并复习与故事课相关的词汇。 2.While reading: T: Our friends Li Ming,Jenny and Danny will visit the Great Wall,too. （1）Listen and read these sentences in Picture1, answer the questions: ①Where do they go? ② How do they go there? （出示PPT） 设计意图：了解学生对课文第一部分的理解和掌握情况，指导学生边读边思考，在理解的基础上组织语言，初步掌握默读的阅读策略。 （2） Let the students read part2 and part 3,and then students give the answers ①What is the Chinese saying about the Great Wall? “The Ten-Thousand-Li Great Wall”(板书) 播放歌曲《长城谣》节选

，感受万里长城。

②How old is the oldest part of the Great Wall? (出示PPT) Talk about the meaning of the Ten-Thousands-Li Great Wall with your parterner. 设计意图：寻读。在学生阅读前出示有针对性的问题，让学生们带着问题、目的明确的进行阅读。 （3） Read Picture4 quickly and underline： What’s the Chinese saying about the Great Wall? What’s the meaning？

（板书：He who does not go to the Great Wall is not a true man.）

设计意图：在默读寻读策略的形成基础上结合自己对事物的看法进行表达。 （4） Read Picture5 in a group：How can we keep the Great Wall clean and beautiful? T:How to be a civilized tourist?（PPT展示） Tips: Don’t litter. Don’t draw pictures on the wall. Don’t push in line. 设计意图：将知识和生活紧密联系，通过小组内阅读和讨论引发学生的思考，培养他们良好的文明旅游意识和正确的行为习惯。 （5）Listen and read P6.抓住What a wonderful place to visit!让学生朗读体会感叹句的情感。并试着找同类型词汇替代wonderful，例如：beautiful, great, interesting，再次体会长城的特点。 （6）Follow the tape and read the story

设计意图：用跟读的形式回顾故事内容，帮助部分学生解决朗读中存在的不熟悉单词。

3.Post reading: （1）Read in role. 在课件提示下分角色表演故事。 Li Ming: In China, we call it ‘The Ten-Thousand-Li Great Wall. ’ Danny: Wow, it is so long. Jenny: What’s interesting thing? Li Ming: In China ,people say‘He who does not go to the Great Wall is not a true man.’ Danny: Great!So now I am a true man!Let me write my name on it.

Li Ming:No,Danny!Don’t draw or write on the Great Wall.Let’s keep it clean and beautiful! Danny:Okay,Li Ming.Sorry. Jenny:What a wonderful place to visit!We are lucky to see it. 设计思路：通过分角色朗读，检验学生对课文理解和掌握情况，看学生能否生动活泼地表现出各角色应有的感情和表情等，以此培养学生的阅读理解和朗诵能力，以及学生的语言表达能力。 （2）Group work: fill in the blanks. （出示PPT） 设计思路：通过文本支架检测学生的掌握情况。

StepⅢ Summary （再次出示北京著名景点图片）T:You know Beijing is the capital city of China.Our country is great!Let the class give a like to China . 教学生为中国点赞。 设计思路：梳理本课所学，引导学生感悟首都北京的美丽和祖国的日益强大，培养学生的民族自豪感。

StepⅣ Class Closing Homework: 1.Talk about the Great Wall with your friend. 2.Introduce some famous places in Beijing to your parents.
