教材分析

本课选自冀教版小学英语五年级下册第二单元Lesson 10 The Great Wall ,本单元学生已经了解到Danny、Jenny、李明和李夫人开始了北京之旅，已经去过了天安门广场和故宫。本节课分两部分，第一部分为三个小主人公谈论长城的历史和长度。第二部分讲述Danny在长城回来的路上由于不守交通规则所发生的事情。通过本课的学习学生能够知道如何用英语谈论长度，学会在城市中行走遵循的安全规则。本课内容联系实际，图文并茂，包含了丰富的语言信息。

学情分析

五年级的学生已经有了两年半的学习英语的基础，具备了一定的逻辑思维能力以及简单的口语表达能力和阅读能力，能借助图片读懂简单的对话，表达情感和进行语言交流。学生们在第一单元已经学过祈使句Please…

和Please don’t…的表达方式，本课将结合在道路上安全行走这一情景继续渗透祈使句Don’t be afraid.等用法。

教学过程

Step 1 Greeting and lead in Good morning! Boys and girls, Are you ready? How do you feel ? Why? 学生回答。 Well,Ifeel excited! Do you know why? Because I went to the Great Wall last Sunday.My friend takes this picture for me. What do you know about the Great Wall?（巩固旧知,为本课学习做铺垫。）

Step 2 pre-reading (Part 1) What do you know about the Great Wall? Step 3 while-reading(Part 1) 1.学生回答问题，Our friends Danny,Jenny and Li Ming go to the Great Wall,too. Let’s watch the flash.Tell me what do you know after watching it.学生回答

OK! Now let’s read part one silently, then answer these questions.（让学生带着问题去读文本，使学生的阅读更有目的性，激发和提高学生通过阅读自己解决问题的能力。）

1.How do they go to the Great Wall? 学生回答：They go to the Great Wall by bus. 回答第二个问题前我会先问问学生How old are you？Are you old? How old is your grandfather? Is he old? 然后再问2.How old is the Great Wall?找同学回答

It’s about 2000 years old. Is it old ? I think it’s very old.然后进入第三个问题3.How long is the Great Wall? 学生回答：About 6000 kilometres. 为了让孩子更加深刻的体会长城的长和伟大，巩固本课重点句型How long is …? 我应用多媒体课件把学生很少接触的千米换算成米，并通过询问How long is one step? 找同学实地测量，把6000 kilometres变成了与学生本身相关的12000000 steps。让学生真切的感受长城的奇伟。并通过出示长城在地图上的曲线，和同学讨论古人修缮长城的智慧与辛劳，向同学阐释长城的作用，让学生为祖国的文化历史和古代人民的智慧而感叹而自豪。

3. Let’s read the lesson again to feel how amazing the Great Wall is? (同学可以在这个部分再一次对文本进行一次整体的输入.) Step 4 After-reading (Part 1) Read in role：三组同学分饰一个角色。 (引导学生注意语音语调) 学生展示。

Step 5 pre-reading （Part 2）

Now look at this picture, Where is Danny? Oh, he’s on his way back.OK! Now let’s watch, then answer the questions: How does Danny feel on the way back ? What does he do? （依然通过设置两个问题，来激发学生求知欲望。）

Step 6 while reading（Part 2）

How does Danny feel on the way back ? 学生回答He feels tired and hungry. When do you feel tired ? （通过这个开放性的问题，激发学生思维，并练习了本课新知 feel 和 tired。）

again . What does Danny do? 同学回答：He runs to the restaurant. Is he right? Why? 学生回答： Because there are too many cars and buses.Because the light is red.并引出Red is stop. Green is go. Yellow is wait.告诉学生应该遵守交通规则。what can you say to Danny？

(这一部分主要是让学生阅读图片，对下面的文本内容进行预测，并且对丹尼的行为进行思考，让学生学会在城市中行走遵循的安全规则。

通过思考詹妮对丹尼说的话，练习祈使句的使用。)

Look at this picture.Where is Danny now? He is in the middle of the street.How does he feel now? He feels afraid? What is he afraid of ? 举个例子 I am afraid of tigers. Is Danny afraid of the cars and buses? 让学生作答 Yes, he is.（引出重点单词afraid,通过询问what are you afraid of ？来让学生体会其含义，通过互动让学生自己说出Don’t be afraid!）

Step 6 after reading （Part 2）

Now boys and girls! it’s show time.（告诉孩子不同的表现会得到不同的评价，分层布置任务，但是由于每位同学都想多拿分，他们都想蹦一蹦，够桃子，符合维果斯基最近发展区原理。）

完成Page 27 2.Look and write

Step 7 conclusion OK！Boys and girls! Is Danny good today？ Why? 学生回答 Is the Great Wall great?学生回答，let’s enjoy some pictures of Beijing. 让同学欣赏图片，适时提出问题：例如What colour is the Palace Museum. What can you do there?...图片的最后问问孩子 Is Beijing Great? Do you want to go? Well, you should obey the traffic rules.know it and do it.Cherish our lives.(情感的渗透) Step 8 Homework Think about these questions : a. Are all the parts of the Great Wall 2000 years old？ b. Are there only 6000- kilometre-wall of the Great Wall?
