What time is it?

It mainly deals with how to ask and answer time. 本节教学内容为冀教版三年级下册第三

单元What time is it。主要是问答时间。

【Teaching objects】（教学对象）

Our Students are in Grade 4.They are 10-11 years old. They have some basis of English. So the teacher should attach importance to improve their interests in English. 学生为10-11岁有一些英语基础的三年级小学生,因此教师应着力提高他们学习英语的兴趣。

【Teaching aims】（教学目标）

Language aims:

By the end of the lesson, Ss will be able to read, recognize and use the new words and new patterns. ☆Words: breakfast,English class,lunch,dinner... ☆Patterns: “What time is it？”, “It’s...o’clock.”

“It’s time for...”, “Let’s...”. 2. Language skills:

By the end of the lesson, Ss can use the new words and patterns in their daily lives. Ss’ abilities of listening and speaking will be developed.

3. Emotional aims: In this lesson, the emotional aim is to help Ss cultivate and foster their abilities of working in groups ,develop their interests in English and they can cherish time. 1.

知识目标：通过本课的学习，学生能读、认并能使用新单词“早餐，英语课，午餐，晚餐等”和新句型“几点了？”，“...点了”，“该...了。”，“让我们...。”。

能力目标：通过本课的学习，学生能在日常生活中使用这些单词和句型，学生听和说的能力有所提高。

3.情感目标：帮助学生养成团结协作的精神，提高学生对英语的兴趣并可以珍惜时间。

The key point: can understand the words.

The difficult points: can use the patterns “What time is it？”, “It’s...o’clock.”

“It’s time for...”, “Let’s...” in their daily life. 重点：理解单词的含义。

The multi-media, the blackboard, chalk, word cards,a clock. 多媒体，黑板，粉笔，单词卡,一个表。

【Teaching procedures】（教学过程）10mins Ⅰ.Greeting（打招呼）

T: Class begins. Ss: Good morning,Miss Ma. T: Good morning,boys and girls. Ⅱ.Presentation（呈现）

Step 1:Lead in

Sing the song What time is it together. Step 2: Explanation of “time”.（讲解“时间”）

T uses the topic to lead out the word “time” , uses a clock explanation of “seven o’clock” and “What time is it? It’s seven o’clock.It’s time for breakfast.” Other pictures lead in “English class,lunch,music class,PE class,dinner” .Ss read them.

T chooses 2Ss to read and all Ss read it together. 4

Step 2: Lead in verb phrases（导入词组）

Ss guess time ,T lead in the verb phrase

“drink some milk” using one picture with PPT, and ask the Ss read and do the action after T.T uses other pictures lead in “read and write,have some chicken,sing and dance,jump and run,eat some rice”.

Ss read it together.Listen to the radio carefully. 老师用图片导入词组“喝牛奶”，让学生跟读并做动作。用其他图片导入“读书写字，吃鸡肉，唱歌跳舞，跳一跳跑一跑，吃些米饭”

Step 3: Explanation of “Let’s...” .

Step 4: Demonstration of “drink some milk，read and write,have some chicken,sing and dance,jump and run,eat some rice”（演示“喝牛奶，读书写字，吃鸡肉，唱歌跳舞，跳一跳跑一跑，吃些米饭”。）

One student of a group do the actions and one of the other group guess,if he or she is right,T will a little star to his or her group.

一组中的一个学生做动作，另一组的一个学生猜，对了加小星。

Step 5: Listen to the recording（听录音）

Ss listen to the recording carefully. For the second time, read it after T. 6

Ⅲ.Practice(练习)——Make sentences(造句）

Ⅳ.Production and review（产出和复习）

T dial clock and ask “What time is it?”.The Ss answer. And lead in “Time is money”,Ss should cherish time.

Review the words and sentences. 7
