本课Lesson 13 How Old Are You?为第三单元的引领课,以谈论个人年龄为主题引入。第一部分通过小故事学会表达自己的年龄How Old Are You?I‘m_____.和自己的生日When is your birthday?My birthday is_____.其中生日的表达由第二单元月份词和序数词组成,能否正确运用是本课的一个难点。所以我认为通过由词入句、由机械操练到灵活运用,层层深入化解难点,再利用对话练习和小组调查才能巩固所学,使学生牢固的掌握和运用所学知识,培养学生的学习兴趣,开发学生的创新思维,实实在在的上好本节课。设计意图:通过复习序数词,顺利过渡到生日的读法月份+(the)+序数词,由旧知识很自然引入本课新知识,学生易于理解,事半功倍,为后面学习作下铺垫。增强了学生的积极性,激发和培养了学生学习英语的兴趣。)设计意图:在学生对生日表达有初步了解的基础上,我设计了次活动。把生日写出来,使生日的英语写法在学生大脑里清晰呈现,再通过台前实物展示练习句型My birthday is_____.此做法实现了全体学生由单词输入到句型输出的过程,学生基本掌握了运用英语表达生日的能力,继而突破了教学重难点。

教材分析:

本课主要学习询问年龄的大小,生日和日期,要求学会运用句型:“How old are you? When is your birthday?本课是可采取创设情景的方法教学和进行交流练习。

学情分析: 询问年龄大小、对学生来说比较容易掌握,但询问生日要运用到月份和序数词,有一定难度。四年级学生有着很强的表现欲望,因此在课堂上应多设计可以供学生发挥、创造的活动,给学生更多的表现空间。

教学目标: 1.能听、说、读、写单词how am when birthday. 2.能够运用句型:“-How old are you? -I`m _____ years old.”

---When is your birthday? - My birthday is______ . 3.能询问他人的年龄,并对该询问做出回答,但在现实生活中,要注意中西文化的差异。尊重个人的隐私。

教学重点:

用“-How old are you?询问他人的年龄,并能用”I`m ____ years old的“做回答。

教学难点:

能运用句型-When is your birthday? -My birthday is ______ . 资源利用:PPT、图片、录音机。

课时分配:一课时

教学过程:
