Lesson10 The Great Wall 一、教材分析

1.单元及课文分析

本课是冀教版《英语》（三年级起点）五年级下册第2单元第9课The Palace Museum。本单元的题目是“In Beijing”，讲授了“在北京”的话题。单元围绕着Jenny, Li Ming, Danny这三个小主人公在北京参观天安门、故宫、长城以及在北京购物等一系列有趣的生活情景展开，本单元在引导学生学习关于中国首都北京名胜古迹的词汇和短语，学生要掌握基本的旅游词汇；能够讨论应该做和不应该做的事情；辨识和理解重要的国际标识；可以就所观察到的身边事物进行对话；会点事物和饮品；能够谈论人们正在做的事情。

本课“The Great Wall”是本单元内容其中一篇，讲述了Jenny, Li Ming, Danny参观长城发生的事情。学生在学习的过程中，运用英语语言读懂文本、提高了阅读技能，更重要的是学生在学习如何描述长城的过程中，体会到语言学习的乐趣，增强自信心和成就感。

2.学情分析

授课对象为五年级学生，学生心理比较成熟，语感基本形成，理解能力表达能力较强。所以本节课应充分调动学生的积极性，发挥学生的潜能，发散学生的思维。

3.教学重点

能够用所学知识简单地介绍长城。

4.教学难点

能够简单地介绍其他的名胜古迹。

5.教学准备

多媒体、作文纸、北京其他名胜古迹等的资料（前参）。

二、教学目标



知识与技能目标：

（1）掌握词汇：stop, wait, feel, tired, afraid （2）学生能用所学语言介绍长城。



学习策略目标：

（1）通过评价反思，发展自我调控策略；

（2）养成听录音和根据句子的习惯。



情感态度目标：

（1）提高学习英语的兴趣，乐于阅读。

（2）增强孩子爱国意识。

三、教学步骤

Step I Class Opening （4 minutes）

1.Greeting T: Hello, everyone! How are you today?

Ss: I’m fine, thanks.

2.Game T: Before the class, let’s play a game ”Brain Storm”. If you know the answers, please put up your hands quickly. What is the capital city of China? Ss: Beijing. T: Yes, so the key word is Beijing. What do you know about Beijing? Ss: (Beijing Duck ,Tian’anmen square, The palace museum, The Great Wall) （学生运用已有知识，大胆发言，可以从食物、名胜古迹、人口等等方面描述学生所知道的北京，在名胜古迹方面如果学生没有说出the Great Wall，老师可给予提示引出，比如出示一些关于长城的美丽图片，如果学生说出，可直接欣赏一些美丽的长城图片。) T: Today we will talk about the Great Wall.(用手指板书题目) (设计思路：开课由头脑风暴游戏导入，学生畅谈他们印象中的北京，激发兴趣，让学生在愉快的氛围中放松自己并把注意力转移到课堂上。同时游戏内容包含本课的主题--长城。）

Step II New Concepts 1.Introduction （2minutes）（由游戏导入新授）

T: What do you know about the Great Wall? Ss: (It is very long, It is very old. It is great and beautiful. )

（学生运用已有知识，大胆发言，表述自己所知道的长城知识。) T: Do you want to go to the Great Wall? S: Yes, 2.Text（7minutes）（听录音，回答问题。) T: Our friends Li Ming, Jenny and Danny want to the Great Wall, too. But how do they go to the Great Wall? Now let’s listen to the video and answer the question. S: They go to the Great Wall by bus. T: How old is the Great Wall?

How long is the Great Wall? Ss: It’s about 2000 years old.

About 6000 kilometres. (板书关键词) T: Next Lets listen to a song: If you are happy. Do you fell happy? What is the meaning of happy? (板书feel)

I feel hot/cold/angry.（做出相应热、冷、生气的样子并且通过造句让学生理解feel的意思）

T: Then they are on the way back to the hotel. Look! What happened to Danny? Listen and answer questions. How does Danny feel on the way back? Ss：Danny is tired. T: Who can show me what is tired? （板书）

Ss: Do the action about ”tired”. T: Is Danny afraid of the cars and buses? Who can show me what is afraid?（板书）

Ss: Do the action about afraid. T: What should we do? Ss: We should stop and wait. (板书) T: Show me what is “stop”?

Ss: (Do the action about ”stop”.)

(设计思路：通过肢体语言、例句和词与词之间的联系处理生词,加深对课文的理解。)

Step III Consolidation（13minutes）

1.Look and write.

T: Now let’s listen and repeat. Then finish Part 3(2).（Check in class.）

Ss: Listen and repeat. Talk and write. Check the answers. 2. Happy reading time T：It is time for our happy reading time. Now four people in one group，you need to choose one form to read the text，Everyone needs to attend. If the time is enough，you can choose another form to read the text again.

（小组之间读课文，每个人都要参加，可以选择三种形式：分角色读，一人一句，小组齐读）

T：It is our show time. （2组同学分别上台小组展示，模仿人物的动作表情，语言神态。）

（设计思路：语言的学习的最终目的是为了用，学生以角色扮演的方式复述课文，达到学以致用。）

Step Ⅳ

Class Closing （3minutes）

1.自然过渡，引出本课的情感目标，爱国。

T: Do you like Beijing? Do you like China? Our country has many beautiful places. We love our country. Say ”I love China!” together. 2. Homework （1）.Listen and repeat the text for ten minutes. （2）.Make a poster about Beijing.（做一张关于北京的海报）

课后反思

课后经过反思，我觉得该课的设计具有以下几个突出的特点：

1.切实落实教学目标；

2.对教材资源进行切合实际的开发、利用和重叠，本课最后导游环节给学生们拓展了很多知识；

3.有效利用教学资源，努力给学生创造语言学习的环境，比如本节课做小导游，加强语言学习的意识。

4.能够较好地调动学生的积极性，将课堂还给学生，老师做到了适时地进，勇敢

地退。
