一、教材分析

本单元的日常生活用语主要围绕“Travel in Beijing”这一话题展开。教材为学生提供了Li Ming , Mrs. Li , Jenny and Danny 一起游览北京的天安门广场，故宫和长城，并且到王府井购物这些场景。帮助学生理解并掌握外出游玩和观赏时常用的英语表达方式。结合本课重点内容，我们应给学生创设游览和介绍长城这一情境，通过本课重点问题导入引导学生一起进入本课的学习。

本课是一节故事课，是对本单元长城的相关介绍。

二、学情分析

学生已经基本掌握了本单元主要内容，初步有了整体感知，只要突破难点，学生就能够迅速了解故事梗概。五年级大部分学生的英语学习态度还比较积极，有一定的表现力，学生也具有了一定的知识储备，语言输出灵活，表演有创意，教师在教学设计中一定要充分利用到这个特点，设计好排演、表演环节，激发他们表演的欲望，使他们把本故事的主旨理解地更加透彻。

三、教学目标

语言知识与技能目标：1.能够听懂并读懂故事2.朗读故事并在老师帮助下复述表演故事。

情感态度目标：了解景点知识的同时引导学生良好的文明行为习

惯，培养和提高个人的公德意识。

文化意识目标：学生能为中华文化的悠久历史和博大精深而感到骄傲。

学习策略目标：鼓励学生勇于尝试，尊重学生个性差异，积极运用英语和他人交流，积极与同学合作，共同完成任务，从不同角度体验到英语学习成功的喜悦。

四、教学重点：理解故事，复述故事。

Step1

Class opening

1.Greeting to the students，sing Let’s sing the song “take a picture,you and me ”together.

2. There are many beautiful pictures about Beijing. Let’s have a look(教师通过多媒体课件通过轻松的音乐展示天安门广场，故宫，鸟巢，水立方，北海公园，颐和园，王府井大街以及长城的图片。）

3、What can you see?

设计思路：通过对北京名胜古迹图片的回顾激活学生的原有知识，给学生营造了一个轻松愉悦的学习氛围，调动学生的兴趣，进而调动学生的学习积极性。

进而调动学生参与课堂活动的热情。
