教学过程：

Warming up Talk about: Do you like animals? What’s your favourite animal? Presentation:

Play a guessing game:

1)

Guess the animal: It lives in Africa and Asia.

It’s a very big animal. It has got four legs. It has got a long nose. 2)

Ss guess: It’s an elephant.

Then answer: Where does it live? (It lives in Africa and Asia.) Then learn the word:Africa, Asia. 3) Guess the other animal:

It has got four legs.

It has got a long tail.

It eats fruit and leaves. Its favourite food is bananas. 4)Ss guess: It’s a monkey. Then answer: What does it eat? (It eats fruit and leaves.) Then learn the words: fruit , leaves. 2.

Show the black rhino and learn : the black rhino. 3.

Listen to the part 1 of the text and answer the questions:

Where does the black rhino live? What does it eat ? What colour is it? 4.

Read the answers and remember them. 5.

Try to say in pairs: The black rhino lives in _____, It eats ____ and ____, It is ___ 6. Try to say in groups:

The black rhino …

7.Describe the black rhino together. 8.Read the part 2 of the text by themselves and try to understand it.

Then think: The black rhino is not black. Why is it called black rhino? 9.Learn each other in groups . 10.Repeat the part 2. 11.The black rhinos are lovely. But they are in danger. Why?

Read the part 3 of the text by themselves. (Circle the key sentences) 12.Show some pictures and help pupils to understand : kill rhinos,

sell their horns,

make medicine out of the horns,

get a lot of money 13.Look at the pictures and learn to say the sentences:

People kill rhinos and sell their horns. Other people make medicine out of the horns and get a lot of money. 14.Read and learn the text. 15.Talk about the other animals in danger and know to help and save the animals .
