Step1. Lead-in 1.

Show some pictures, let students answer the questions: 1)

Can we see them in real life? 2)

Which film they are from? Step2.Warm-up Enjoy a short video, then discuss: Is it possible for dinosaurs to return to the earth? Step3. Reading 1.

Pr-reading

Talk about the title--The return of the dinosaurs.

Fast reading

Read the whole passage quickly for the general idea of the passage and main ideas of each paragraph. Then draw a mind map.

Careful reading

Read the whole passage carefully and locate the specific details and circle the key words. Then fill in the blanks. 4.

Post reading

Replace the italic parts with words that have the same meaning.

Step4. Writing How to write a good composition? —a clear organization or structure. 1) The structure : the three-paragraph form
