Lesson 14 Jenny Writes a Postcard

教材分析:

本课是冀教版小学英语五年级下册第三单元第二课。本课内容与生活紧密相连,能激发学生兴趣,内容丰富,便于交际。本课主要学习英文明信片的写法以及中西方在写地址方面的差异。对于明信片的内容,学生写起来应该比较容易,可以结合已经学过的内容,灵活地应用。在游戏和学习,通过书写明信片让学生了解中西方文化差异。

学情分析:

通过本单元第13课的学习,学生已经对信、明信片以及电子邮件等联系方式有了一定的了解,这节课应该重视汉语明信片和英语明信片在写法上的不同。另外学生对国外地址了解的较少,可以为学生展示国外地址的写法,了解中西方文化的差异,培养学生较好的文化意识。

知识和技能目标:

1.学习何书写明信片,如何写姓名和地址,如何给明信片贴上邮票。

2.能听懂、会说、认读并书写下列词汇:

write ,mum, dad, dear, fine, left, right

3.能认读、理解并运用下列基本句型结构:

Where do you write on a postcard? On the left.

Where do you put the address? On the right.

4. 学唱一首关于明信片的歌。

情感态度目标:

乐于学习英语,对学习英语感兴趣。

学习策略目标:

通过让学生比赛、小组讨论等方式培养学生英语思维及互助学习模式。

教学重点:

1.明信片各部分的介绍。

2.用英语书写明信片。。

教学难点:

能认读、理解并运用下列基本句型结构:

Where do you write on a postcard? On the left.

Where do you put the address? On the right.

教学过程:

Step 1. Warming up.

1.Greeting.

T:Hello,everyone.Nice to meet you.

Ss: Nice to meet you ,too.

T: Now, let’s play a game .

2.Play the game.

Guess what’s this?

(1)You don’t use your pen .You write and send it on your computer. What is it?

(2)You buy it in a shop when you travel. It has a beautiful picture on it. You send it to your friend or your family.

(3)You write it on paper. You use a stamp , you send it at the post office.

设计意图:开始上课,师生在轻松的氛围中,以游戏的形式复习了学过的单词,激发了学生学习英语的兴趣。

Step 2. New Concepts.

Review: the material from the last lesson.

Teach the new words: dear,mum,dad,fine,right,left,write.

Show each card and say the word. Play the game to practice the words.

设计意图:在新授环节,以课件的形式展示。引出今天的新授内容。并进行练习。

Group work:

Ask the students to make a postcard and write a postcard.

设计意图:小组活动时,让学生去讨论明信片的书写格式,展开贴近生活实际的对话。

Step 3. Presentations.

1.Listen to the tape and answer questions.

2.Ask the students to look at Page41, Part 2. Go through the song line by line. Play the song two or three more times. Everyone should now stand, and sing the song loudly. They can hold postcard

and point to things as they sing. They can point to the address on the right, and the writing on the left.

设计意图:听课文回答问题。帮助学生巩固所学知识。利用歌曲朗朗的节奏,学生边做动作边朗读,既复习了知识,起到巩固强化的作用,又极大程度调动了学生的学习积极性。

Step 4. Practice.

1. Questions:

(1)Where do you write on a postcard?

(2) Where do you put the address?

设计意图:前面的学习已为本课的学习打下了坚实的基础, 所以这一环节要检查学生对所学知识的掌握情况,了解学生对所学知识的理解程度。

2.了解明信片的历史。

3.给最敬佩的人写一张明信片。

设计意图:通过让学生自己写一张明信片,既能锻炼孩子的表达能力,还能让学生掌握了文章的重点内容。

Step 5. Homework.

Write a postcard to your family or friend.

设计意图:通过此项作业,巩固本节课所学知识的同时又让学生对家人或朋友进行了解,增强彼此之间的了解和沟通。
