教学目标:

2、能听懂、会读、会说日常交际用语We use …to …We should …We shouldn’t …

3、通过小组合作交流,能正确地理解并能用标准的语音语调朗读文本,在教师的引导和帮助下尝试复述课文内容。

4、让学生了解保护地球的重要性,培养学生热爱地球,保护地球的意识,了解更多保护地球的方法。

教学重点和难点:

1、对词汇和句型的理解。

2、通过小组合作交流,能正确地理解并朗读文本,在教师的引导和帮助下尝试复述课文内容。

教学过程:

Step 1 Pre-reading

1. Guessing game.

2. Talk about the Earth with the students(Learn: Earth)

What shape is it?/How old is it?/ What color is it?

Read the title. (Learn: protect)

(1) What’s in her body? (Learn: coal, oil, energy, most of)

Step 2 While-reading

1. Watch the cartoon

Q: How can we protect the Earth? (Learn: save, plastic)

(1) Save water Save energy Save trees

(2) Don’t use too much plastic

2. Passage 1 Save water

(1) Look and say

Q1: What do we use water to do?(Learn: We use water to …) Q2: (PPT) Can we use water like him?

(Learn: waste)

(2) Listen, read and think

Q: What should we do?

(Learn: reuse)

We should reuse and save it.

(3) Read the passage

3. Passage 2 Save energy

(1) Watch the cartoon and try to know more about energy

(Learn: so much)

(2) Listen and judge

(3) Read the passage

4. Passage 3&4 Save trees, Don’t use too much plastic

The students learn by themselves

(1) Task 1 Read and circle

(2) Task 2 Discuss in pairs and fill in the form

Do you think the plastic is bad or good?.

5. Read the whole text .

6. Make a poster then give a speech in groups.

Step 4 Homework

1. Listen to the tape and retell the Story.

2. Do the exercise.

3. Put the poster on the wall.
