1.教学内容分析

本节内容是北师大版小学英语五年级下册Unit 8 Time的第一课时,本节课主要通过Mocky和Lulu一起去看望Uncle Booky。淘气的Mocky在路上贪玩,看错了时间,结果迟到这件事情作为情景引出课题,围绕这一内容,让学生学习有关时间的表达法以及相应的句型(What time is it ? It’s four o’clock.)。

2.学生情况分析

五年级下学期的学生已经具备一定的单词拼读能力和阅读能力。学生在此之前已经学过了一些关于时间的表达和一些动作词汇、短语的表达。本节课中,教师将继续引导学生发展阅读技能,并引导学生用句型“What time is it?” “It’s …o’clock.”询问和回答具体时间的表达法。

二、教学目标

1. 指认、说出整点的时间;

2. 询问或说出当前的时间;

3. 在插图的帮助下理解故事主要内容;

4. 朗读故事人物对话。

三、教学重难点

重点:1. 在插图的帮助下能够理解故事的主要情节;

2.初步学会认读时间的表达法。

难点:结合图片讲述故事的主要情节。

四、教学过程:

Step 1. Warming-up

1. Greeting

2. Free talking.

T: How are you today? What day is it today? Do you go to school on Friday? What time do you go to school?

4. Words: early , late

5.Watch the VCR. Tom is late for school. Learn the words early and late. Tell the students it’s not good to be late.

6. 趁机教育学生迟到是一种不好的行为

Step 2. Presentation

1. Enjoy the story. Guess if Mocky is early or late for Uncle Booky’s house.

2. Answer the question: Is Mocky early or late?

3. Why is Mocky late?

Step 3. Reading

1. Read the story carefully with the students. Focus on different times. Help the students understand that Mocky’s watch is slow. So he is late.

2. Sentences “What time is it ? It’s five o’clock.”

3. Listen and repeat the story loudly.

Step 4. After reading.

1.Yes or No.

2.Questions time.

Step 5. Consolidation

Paper work.

Retell the story according to the blackboard with the students. Make sure they understand the story and have a grasp of the sentences about time.

Step 6. Homework

1.Read the story.

2.Retell the story to your friends.
