Module10 Unit1 He was in the kitchen.

一.教学目标:

1. 知识目标:会听、说、读的单词:kitchen, toilet, living room, room, now, last, hide, sofa, hide-and-seek. 2. 能力目标:在日常生活中能使学生运用句型“where did you find +人/物?I found +人/物+方位介词短语”来谈论某人或某物所在的位置。

3. 情感目标:通过游戏、活动培养学生学习英语的兴趣。

二.教学重点:单词:kitchen, toilet, living room, room, now, last, hide, sofa, hide-and-seek. 三.教学难点:句型“where did you find +人/物?I found +人/物+方位介词短语”

来谈论某人或某物所在的位置。

四.教学过程:

Step1. Warming up & lead in Last class we talked about feelings, now how about your feelings(ask some students). T: How do you feel, Willis? W: I feel happy. T: Does he feel angry? Ss: No, he doesn’t. T: How does he feel? Ss: He feels happy. T: Do you know how I feel? Ss: Happy? T: No, I don’t. I feel a bit nervous. In order not to be nervous, let’s look at some pictures. Show some pictures, and ask questions like this: Where are the books? They are on the desk./ Where is the girl? She is behind the tree. 询问人或物的所在位置用特殊疑问词where, 回答用表示方位的介词短语。

Step2. Text learning

(1)

New words: (show pictures) kitchen(in the kitchen) toilet(in the toilet) living room(in the living room) bedroom(in the bedroom). Read one by one, read in groups, then make sentences like this: when I show a word card(kitchen) T: Where are you? S1: I’m in the kitchen. (2)Open the book, look at part1, first read it by yourselves. Listen to the tape and read after it. Then read it together. (3) Part2: Read the text within 2 minutes, while reading, circle the words you don’t understand. hide-and-seek, now, last, sofa in the kitchen, in the toilet, in the living room, in the bedroom

(4)Close the book, listen to the tape, then answer questions:

Q1: Where is Sam? He is in the bedroom. Q2: Where did Amy find John? She found John in the kitchen. Q3: Where did Amy find Lingling? She found Lingling in the toilet. Q4: Is Tom playing with them? No, he isn’t. (5)Listen again, when hearing the answers, you should say“stop”, and repeat. (6)Analysis of the text. Key sentences:

where did you find +人/物?

I found +人/物+方位介词短语

(7)Llisten again, and read after it. (8)Think and say Where did Amy find Sam/ John/ Lingling?

③Sam— in the bedroom

①John— in the kitchen

②Lingling— in the toilet Who is the fisrt one to be found? Please order.

Step3. Practise Role-play, then act out.,

Step4. Consolidation Find and say. In this activity, two pupils are in one group, and make dialogues like this:

A: Where did you find the schoolbag? B: I found the schoolbag in the living room.

Step5. Summary where did you find +人/物?

I found +人/物+方位介词短语

Step6. Homework Read the text ,then retellthe story to your classmates. Draw a picture of

rooms of

your house.
