Writing – A Letter of Application Teaching Aims

Enable the students to write a successful letter applying for a job. Learning ability goals: Help the students learn how to write an application letter. Teaching important and difficult points:

1.How to develop students’ writing ability.

2.How to write a letter of application. Teaching methods: Task-based activities, discussing and writing. Teaching procedures: Step 1: Pre-writing What makes a good article? What should be paid attention to when you write an English composition? Step 2: Discuss and try to write an outline of the composition 假设你是李华，将于今年七月从新星外语学校毕业。你从报纸上得知B&B公司要招聘一名英文秘书，你很感兴趣。请给该公司写一封求职信，包括下列要点：

1.年龄

2.学习情况及英语水平；

3. 兴趣和特长；

注意：1.词数100左右；

2.可适当增加细节，以使行文连贯

Step 3 Ask students to show their work and present some useful expressions and sentences. 第一段开头：写信的目的（purpose）
