Teaching procedures

Step 1 Warm-up 1.

Greeting. 2.

Sing a song.（rainbow）

Step 2 Lead-in 1.Show some pictures by ppt to the students to get the word “color”.

In this way, students can see different colors clearly by ppt and have a good sense of vision about color. 2.Learn the new word “color”(颜色) and read after the teacher. Step 3 Presentation 1.

Show pictures slide by slide and let the students get the meaning of red,blue,yellow and green by ppt, then learn the new words one by one.(red/blue/yellow/green) 2.

Read the new words together ,then I will ask my students to read the words by using some different forms,for example , high low voice, show the gun to the word. 3.

In order to arose the students’

interesting of learning English

and cultivate the spirit of cooperation,I will divide the whole students into two groups.(Group red and Group blue,the names of the two teams are close to the topic.) Step 4 Practice 1.

Play a game.(Magic eyes)

In this part, I will use ppt to play this game. In order to catch the students’

attention, I will make some vivid pictures which have different colors and fly quickly with sound , then they will disappear. At that moment, I will ask my students to guess what color it is. My students will be happy if some of them can guess it correctly and quickly. 2.

Do some exercises.

Let the students to have a better understanding of color in their

daily life, I will have a task about color for them. Ask my students to finish the blanks on the screen, if some of them get the right answer, I will give them big hands by ppt setting. Step 5 Ask and answer 1.

In order to Improve my students’ ability of speaking , I will make a cat to step on different colors by ppt. I think students will show a great interesting in asking and answering some questions with the sentence pattern. A: What color is it? B: It’s red.(blue/yellow/green) 2.

Work in pairs.In this time, I will ask my students to use the colorful pencils to make a dialogue with partners. In this way, it can help the students to know that working with partners is so interesting, what’s more, they can gain the knowledge happily. 3.

Play a role. It’s time for my students to show their dialogues to us. In this way , it can help the students to cultivate their confidence in their daily life.

Step 6 Let’s chant.

In this part , I will write 8 sentences on the screen with 4 colors (red/blue/yellow/green), then ask my students to chant with me with body language. When we chant together , I will play the music by ppt to make my students feel relaxed and happily. Step7 Summary 1.

Sing a song: colorful world

As for the consolidation part, I will use a flash to sing a song which is closely related to my teaching contents. So , it can help the students have a good review of what we have learned today. 2.

Moral teaching

The competition is over. Whether you are a winner or not today, you should remember that life is colorful.( This sentence will be shown on the screen.)

Step 8 Homework 1.

Copy the new words, each five times. 2.

Make a dialogue with the sentence pattern we have learned today.
