一、学情分析

本课教学的对象是四年级的小学生，学生从三年级开始学习英语，已有一年多的学习经验和语言积累，掌握了一定的发音知识和拼读技巧，能听懂一些课堂用语，并能有序的参与课堂活动。这个年龄段的学生，好奇心强，爱模仿，好表现，大多数学生学习态度积极，对英语学习充满着浓厚的兴趣，同时具备初步的自主学习和合作探究的能力，为语音教学的顺利展开打下基础。

二、教材分析

本节课所选的教学内容是义务教育教科书《英语》四年级上册Unit4 My Day的Sounds and words部分。本课时要求学生能掌握字母o发/əu/的发音规律，教材在学生已学的home, homework的基础上，介绍了四个新单词cola, nose, close, those，新旧结合，并编排了一首chant让学生在轻快的节奏中巩固所学的知识。

三、教学内容

1. 语言知识目标：(1) 认识字母o在单词中发/əu/的拼读规律。

(2) 能正确读出含有字母o发/əu/的单词。

2. 语言技能目标：培养学生的拼读能力和辨音能力。

3. 情感态度目标：(1) 激发学生对英语的学习热情及学习兴趣。

(2) 鼓励学生积极主动参与课堂活动，敢于、乐于开口，大胆模仿。

五、教学重点：掌握字母o在单词中发/əu/的发音规律，学习、记忆单词。

六、教学难点：运用这节课学习的新单词以及以前学过的o发/əu/的单词完成短文填空。

七、教具准备：多媒体课件、单词卡片。

八、教学过程：

Step 1: Warming up (1) Greeting. (2) Sing a song《What day is it today?》.

Step 2: Leading in

(1) T: I’m happy today. Are you happy? And Gogo is going to our classroom. Where is he?

Hello! I’m Gogo. This is my home. Welcome to my home. T: Say hello to Gogo. Gogo今天要邀请同学们去他家做客，但是只有在课堂上认真学习的同学才能得到邀请。Understand?

【设计Gogo邀请同学们去他家做客这一线索贯穿整节课，运用学生喜爱的Gogo这一人物形象，形成积极的期望效应，激发学生的学习动机。】

Step 3：Presentation

(1) Have Ss try to read the words.

(2) Listen to the recording of Sounds and words. 【让学生尝试着读新单词，在探究性的学习中，调动学生学习的积极性。】

(3) Show the picture of page 31. Have Ss find the same letter of the words. Have Ss find the sound of “o”.

Read the sound /əu/ after the teacher.

【正音是语音教学的基础，认真做好学生发音的指导和纠正。】

(4) Listen and read the new words. (5) Have Ss find more words with the letter O of the sound /əu/. Write down the words on the paper. Check the answers with their partner.

(6) Have Ss read the words on the blackboard together.

【帮助学生总结出学过的所有o发/əu/的单词，达到系统的复习和巩固的目的。】

(7) Try to read the new words: toe, hoe, note, fold. 【引导学生运用o发/əu/的发音规律尝试着读更多的单词，达到学以致用、用以促学的目的。】

Step 4: Chant and act (1) Listen to a chant《Mom says》

(2) Read by themselves and circle the words with the sound /əu/.

(3) Listen again. Check the answers with their partner.

【培养学生自主学习和合作学习的能力。】

(4) Check the answers together.

(5) The teacher act out the chant. Have Ss chant and act with their partner. Chant and act by

the students. 【学习chant能够活跃课堂气氛，达到巩固所学知识的目的。】

Step 5: Extension (1) Listen to the story twice and fill in the blanks. Show the PPT: Hello, I’m Gogo. It’s cold today. This is my home. Welcome to my home. Let’s go. Oh, I like cola. Look! This is an old dog. He’s my friend.

(2) Check the answers. (3) (PPT展示来到Gogo家进行参观的情景)

T：You did a very good job. Now we are going to visit Gogo’s home.

T: Hello, I’m……

Ss: Gogo.

T: It’s ……today.

Ss: cold.

【语音教学不能光停留在发音和单词上，有相同发音规律的单词，需要被灵活运用得以巩固，把看似孤立的新词和旧词编成故事，即巩固了知识点又丰富了学生的语言结构，达到从音到词到句子的逐渐深入。】

Step 6:

Summary T: What did we learn today?

【课堂总结能起到画龙点睛的作用，有利于帮助学生梳理知识。】

Step 7：Homework (1) Copy the words with the sound /əu/on the blackboard. (2) Use the words with the sound /əu/ to make a new chant. Sing the chant to your parents. (3) Copy down exercise 2.

【改编歌谣并唱给父母听，让学生学以致用，达到本节课所学知识的巩固与延伸。】
