Unit1 A Parade Day 教学设计

Ⅰ. Teaching contents:
Unit 1 A Parade Day : More reading and writing Ⅱ. Teaching aims:
a. Students can listen, read , grasp the passage and read the passage by themselves..
b. To teach students to know more information about the Beijing Olympics
c. Students can write a short composition and share in groups
d. Emotion:
(1). To increase the students’ interest on English learning.
(2). To make the students have a good communication and cooperation with each other from game-teaching. (3) To make the students be proud of our country and love my country.
Ⅲ. Key points and difficulties:
a. Students can listen, read, grasp the passage and read the passage by themselves..
b. Students can write a short composition and share in groups
c. Students can use the past tense correctly. Ⅳ. Aids: PPT, cards Ⅴ. Teaching procedures: Step 1: Pre-reading
Introduce five friends to the students :Beibei, Jingjing, Huanhuan, Yingying, Nini. Watch the video about the Beijing Olympics Opening Ceremony and answer the simple question about the video. (设计意图:阅读短文前先通过师生Greeting和学生观看2008北京奥运会开幕式,吸引学生的注意力,拉近了师生之间的距离,借助视频开始课堂教学,活跃气氛。同时选用与本课内容紧密结合的歌曲和视频,也为接下来的短文阅读的呈
现埋下伏笔。)
Step 2. While-reading
Task 1: Listening Listen and think. First, show the question to the student “What’s the name of the building on this postcard?” and ask the student to listen to the tape. After listening and answer the question.
(设计意图:通过Listening整体感知阅读内容能够帮助学生快速了解学习内容的大体意思,能够迅速找出课文中的关键信息即key words)
Task 2: Skimming Read the text by yourselves and choose to the correct pictures. (设计意图:让学生略读课文,初步了解课文内容思考并选择图片,能进一步帮助学生对所学内容加深记忆并为下一步寻读打好基础。)
Task3:Scanning Read in groups and underline the key words, after that the students answer the questions. 1. Were all the Olympic running events in The Bird’s Nest?
2. What did Yangyang do in the building in 2008? 3.How many people were there every day? 4. Did Yangyang want to go back to visit the building? (设计意图:让学生在小组合作中学习,能够激发学生竞争意识与合作精神,让学生通过互相提问回答问题来加深对课文细节内容的理解,同时加强学生听说能力的训练,采用图片等辅助手段,形象直观的展现文章难点内容,变枯燥乏味为生动有趣,吸引学生,变被动学习为主动学习。)
Task4: Listen and Practice Listen to the tape and do the exercise. 1. Read and fill in the blanks.
2. Read and write: After doing all the exercise ,read the passage in groups. (设计意图:这学生在学习了新知后进行不同形式的巩固练习,训练学生听和读的能力,通过小组学习让学生积极参与到听说读书中来,从而让学生对学习英语树立自信心)
Task5: Retell the story in groups. (设计意图:复述故事有利于丰富学生的语言,提高表达能力和表现力,是学生综合能力的一个很好的表现)
Step 3. Post-reading
a. Writing and read and fill in the blanks. 1.Share in groups and help each other. 2.Read your passage in front of the students. (设计意图: 适当的对所学内容进行拓展训练在语言操练足够的条件下,让学生在正式的情境中使用自己学到的知识,进行小练笔,有助于学生独立表达自己的思想,小组内分享合作互助能够让学生更大胆的表达,提高自信心,能过个人展示帮助学生引导学生养成良好的写作习惯和写作方法。) b. Watch the video about 2008 Beijing Olympic
(设计意图:让学生观看视频,让学生感受2008年北京奥运会我们中国的胜利瞬间,让学生作为中国人而骄傲,从而进行爱国教育,情感升华。)
