一、教材分析：

本节核心内容的功能和价值：本节课是开心学英语版教材第八册第五单元Reading and writing部分，一课时，是一篇关于Mr. Greens为了迎接Grandma’s birthday而在清洁房间过程中的对话内容的短文。文中对话的内容是各人表达自己所正做及互相帮忙做的家务事。通过学习本文，培养孩子们热爱生活、热爱劳动、友爱互助、积极乐观的生活态度。 2. 课标中对本节内容的要求：要求学生能借助图片读懂简单的故事和小短文，并养成按意群阅读的习惯，能正确朗读短文；能够根据上下文内容把所缺内容补充完整；能够理解内容后组织自己的语言复述故事。

二、学情分析：六年级学生经过四五年级之间的思维发展加速期，字词概念逐步丰富化、系统化，通过分析、综合、比较、抽象和概括，逐步具备了一定的掌握字词、句子的能力。本课的目标语言与主课之间的关联性强，大部学生能独立读懂短文，学困生则以开展小组合作学习来帮助他们。为此，教学活动应尽可能先放手让学生自主阅读，然后配合图片、听录音等方法帮助学生理解文章难点内容。另外，通过逆向式的思维培养。 三、教学目标

1、知识与技能

能够听懂、会读、理解本篇短文；能掌握词汇：

clean up the room, wash the dishes, sweep the floor, take out the trash, water the plant, clean the floor, be proud of ，能够理解短文并完成课堂学习任务，逐步提高阅读能力。

2、过程与方法：在自主探究、小组合作、小组竞赛等学习活动中，能树立自主意识自主探究，能在小组合作中与其他同学积极配合与合作，遇到困难能大胆求助，积极运用所学英语进行表达和交流。

3、情感态度与价值观：在课堂学习活动中乐于感知并积极尝试使用英语，积极参与各种课堂学习活动。

树立热爱生活、热爱劳动、友爱互助、积极乐观的生活态度。 三、教学重难点：根据上下文内容把所缺内容补充完整；能够理解内容后组织自己的语言复述故事。
