教材分析：

本节课的教学内容是北京版小学英语五年级上册第3单元Lesson11。本单元内容围绕中西方节日展开，本课时主要的语言学习情景是Maomao和Mike谈论万圣节，内容涉及到了万圣节最主要的一些习俗。本课呈现了本单元学习的重点内容，用于询问西方国家传统节日的日期、饮食、传统活动等信息并做出相应的回答。

学情分析：

五年级学生在三、四年级时已经学习过了一些中西方的节日，对于节日这个话题并不陌生，大部分学生会运用简单的语言表达自己对于某种节日的喜好及原因。本班的英语基础较好。但是，对于一些活动的要求和实施方法还需要进一步训练和加强。

教学重点：

1、能理解本课重点句型

2、能正确、流畅地朗读课文对话；

3、能更加深入地了解西方文化、了解更多西方节日，丰富文化背景知识。

教学难点：

通过学习培养学生语言的综合运用能力
