一、教材分析

Analysis of the teaching material

This is a listening and speaking lesson. The topic is about kites. Such a topic is related to our daily life.Nowadays, with the rapid development of our society, there are many different kinds of kites made of different materials. So I think this lesson can easily arouse students’ learning interest and improve their spoken English. By teaching, it can cultivate their good sense of the English language.

二、学情分析

Analysis of the students

The students are from Grade Seven. They have learnt English for several years. So i think it is easy for them to understand the text, but it is also a little difficult for them to listen to the tape and understand the ancient incidents. 三、教学目标

Teaching aims and demands

The teaching aims’ basis is established according to Junior School English Syllabus’ provision.

Knowledge objectives

1. To revise and expand the vocabulary about kites.

2. To make the students know how to use the useful expressions and sentences related to the topic. Ability objectives:

1. To raise the students’ listening and speaking abilities.

2. To develop the students’ abilities of communication by learning the useful structures.

3. To train the students’ ability of studying in groups and cooperating skillfully.

Moral objectives:

To enable the students to feel the development of China and the beauty of Chinese culture.. 四、重点与难点

Teaching key and difficult points

The teaching key and difficult points’ basis is established according to the

text in the teaching material’s position and function. 1. To infer the meaning of the new words from the keywords and context. E.g, wood,period, century,excited...

2. To help the students understand and analyze the important sentences. Such as

It’s dangerous to swim in the lake.Shall we go?.. 五、教法分析

Analysis of teaching method

In this lesson, I mainly use “Task-based” teaching method and “communicative” teaching method.

Teaching procedures

Step1 Lead-in

Have a guess of Outdoor Activities. Do you know the answer?

(purpose: According to this guessing game elicit Ss’ different ideas and get ready for the further learning.)

Step2 Presentation

1.look&say:What do they look like?(purpose: let the Students know the colour and the shapes of kites.)

2. Listen and answer

（purpose：Let the students listen to the tape and answer the questions.）(Part A1)

3.know more about kites and answer the questions. (purpose: let Ss know more

about Kites, use the video photoed by the students to arouse their interests) 4. order the phrases and put them into a sentences.(Part A2) 5.more facts about kites. 6.finish Part A3
