What can you do? PartC Story time

教学内容：

本课教学内容是《义务教育教科书英语（PEP）（三年级起点）（2011年版）五年级上册U nit 4 What can you do? C Story time部分，教学故事Rat and Snake。本部分呈现的是田鼠如何机智地被蛇吃掉的厄运，在紧张的故事情节发展中复习巩固本单元核心词汇与句型。What can you do? I can... Can you...? Yes, I can / No, I can't. 以及多个动词及动词词组。教师帮助学生通过图片和上下文理解句子的意思，如：Don’t throw me into the lake, please! Silly snake! 这一故事教学的目的是让学生在阅读中进一步复习和巩固本单元的知识，并得以有效拓展。

学情分析：

五年级学生年龄在十到十一岁左右，生性活泼好动，喜欢直观形象思维，对游戏、竞赛、特别感兴趣。五年级英语在小学英语教学中起着承上启下的作用，既是四年级的衍生又是六年级的铺垫，我们的学生虽然已有两年的英语学习经验，已具有初步的听说能力。但还有以下一些问题需要解决。

有部分同学可能学习习惯不佳，学习任务只是局限于书面作业，不会自学；有些学生有较强的自卑心理，课堂上参与活动不积极或者干脆只做听众或观众；学习的心态调整不到位，合理有效的学习方法没找到，学习效率不高。由于故事教学课程难度增加以后，学生的方法没能及时跟上，心理压力较大，但没有合适的途径解压；自信心明显不足而且学习动力不足的迹象也已经显现，学生的攀比不是表现在学习上争先，而是落在了其他方面。

如果出现了以上预设情况，就得改进我的课堂教学方式，让师生之间的课堂活动形式更加多样化，师生之间更加融洽；重新调整对学生的评价模式，让他们更好发挥自身潜能，规范学习态度，严谨学习作风。

教学目标：

1、知识目标：

（1）词汇：

rat, snake, tasty, lake, silly, away；

（2）句型：基础句型What can you do? I can... Can you...? Yes, I can. / No, I can't. 拓展句型I can ...

for you. There's a... Don't... 2、能力目标：

（1）能够理解并朗读故事；

（2）能在教师的帮助下表演故事。

3、情感与态度：

（1）运用本单元所学核心语言讲述趣味故事，引起学生学习英语的兴趣，扩大学生阅读量。

（2）让学生学会在困境中如何自救的方法。

（3）教育学生保护、拯救珍贵、濒危野生动物，发展和合理利用野生动物资源，来维护生态平衡。

教学重点：

使学生在相对真实、完整的语境中接触、体验、理解语言；

教学难点：

能够在图片和情景的帮助下，引导学生去讲故事；

引导学生观察故事中主人翁和所处的环境。

教学准备：

多媒体课件，PPT, flash动画，卡通卡片。

教学过程：

StepⅠWarm-up 1. Greetings 2、use a riddle lead in the word rat His home（家）

is in the hole.（洞）

He doesn’t go out in the daytime.（白天）

He isn’t afraid of（不害怕）

tigers or lions.

He is afraid of the “small tigers.（小老虎） Step Ⅱ

Review Use a game “hit rats” to review the learned language.

Step Ⅲ

Pre-reading 1. Show the word snake by pictures. 2. Give some questions to let students predict what will happen? T: Now, let’s see who comes here.（Snake’s picture）Suddenly, a snake comes, then the animals are frightened. They run away. But the snake caught the rat. Will, this is today’s story. Does the snake want to eat the rat?Can the snake eat the rat?

Step Ⅳ

while-reading 1. Ask students to read the story and answer the following questions: Questions: (1) Who are in the story? (2) What is the tasty food? (3) Can the rat sing? (4) Can the rat dance? (5) Is the snake clever? (6) Can the rat swim? Answers:

(1) Rat and snake. (2) A rat. (3) Yes, it can. (4) Yes, it can. (5) No，

it’s silly.

(6) No. Don’t throw me into the lake, please.

2、let students listen to the video and then put the pictures in right orders. Step V Post-reading 1、同桌学生分角色朗读，教师及时评价指导。

2、学生在小组内练习分角色表演故事，然后教师请两三组学生上讲台表演，提醒学生表演时要带上适当的表情和动作，鼓励其他学

生对同学的表演给出评价，教师及时补充。最后教师评选出“最佳表演组“，并给予表扬。
