教学目标(Objectives)：

1.确保学生认识和理解一些基本单词的意义和简单口头运用（To learn the meaning and simple usages of some words and phrases）。

需要掌握的词组：live, China, Beijing, the UK, London, Russia, Moscow, France, Paris. 2.学习使用本单元重点句型及表达（To use the typical sentences to express）。

需要掌握的句型：

Where do you come from? I come from China. Where do you live? I live in Beijing. 教学重点（Key points)：

在学习了单词的基础上，以单词为载体，进行主要句型的学习，并了解其中的语法现象，根据具体情境，学会交流对话，侧重句型语法学习，交际意向和课外拓展为重点。

教学过程（Teaching procedure）：

Step1. Greeting Step2.Warm-up/Leading（热身/课程导入）

Warm-up Questions I’ll ask students the following questions. 1.

Do you know some countries? Students answer “Yes, we do”. 2.

I’ll write down some Chinese names of the USA, the UK and China on some cards. I’ll show students the cards, I’ll ask students “What’s this in English?” to help students learn the words. 3.

Do you know some cities? Students answer “Yes, we do”. I’ll write down some Chinese names of New York, Washington, Luoyang, Zhengzhou and Beijing on some cards. I’ll show students the cards, I’ll ask students “What’s this in English?”

I ask, “Where is Beijing?” Help students answer “It’s in China.”

I ask, “Where is New York?” Help students answer “It’s in the USA.”

I’ll write down the Chinese meanings of live, Ms, Mrs, Miss and Mr on the cards, help students learn the words. 6.

Ask students the differences among“Ms, Mrs, Miss and Mr”. 7.

Help students conclude: “Ms”

Step3.Presentation(呈现新课）

1. Get students to look at the picture and listen to the tape twice. 2. Listen to the tape again and get students to listen and repeat the dialogue. 3. Get students to read the dialogue in pairs, then change their roles. A: Excuse me. Where do you come from? B: I come from the USA. A: Where do you live? B: I live in New York. A: Where does Ms Green come from? B: She comes from the USA, too. A: Does she live in New York, too? B: No, she doesn’t. She lives in Washington.

4. Ask students who can translate the dialogue. 5. I ask, “where do you come from?”, help students answer “I come from ……” , for example, the USA, the UK, China. 6. I ask, “where do you live?”, help students answer “I live in …….”, for example, New York, Washington, London, Beijing, Shanghai, Luoyang, Zhengzhou, Wuhan…….. 7. Get students to ask and answer the following sentences in pairs, then change their roles. A: Excuse me. Where do you come from? B: I come from …….. A: Where do you live? B: I live in …….

8. After they practice for a while, ask some pairs to act it out. 9. I ask, “where does Ms Green come from?” help students answer “she comes from ……” , for example, the USA, the UK, China. 10. I ask, “Does she live in New York, too?”

help students answer “No, she doesn’t. She lives in ……” for example, New York, Washington, London, Beijing, Shanghai, Luoyang, Zhengzhou, Guangzhou, Wuhan…….. 11. Get students to ask and answer the following sentences in pairs, then change their roles. A: Where does …… come from? B: …… comes from …….. A: Does …... come from……., too? B: No, she doesn’t. 14. Ask students who can retell the dialogue according to the following key words: Excuse, Where,
