一、Teaching aims and demands:

1.Can understand and read the new words:

noodle(s),dumpling(s),milk, bread, rice, biscuit(s)。

2.Can use“Wha t do you like ?” and use “I like …”to answer it.

二、Teaching importance:

1.Can master the new words: noodle(s), biscuit(s)

dumpling(s),milk, bread, rice.

2. Can use ” Wha t do you like ?” freely.

三、Teaching difficulties:

1、The pronunciation of milk .

2、Use ”Wha t do you like ?”freely.

四、Teaching instruments:

Word cards,small blackboard,some food.

五、Teaching methods:

The communicative approach, play method, situational language teaching method, action method, activity method.

六、Teaching steps:

Step1. Warming up

1.Greetings

T: Now class begins.

Ss: Stand up ,please!

T: Good morning, class.

Ss: Good morning, Miss Zhu.

Step2. Presentation

1.Lead in

(Touch the stomach)

T: I’m hungry. Are you hungry?

Ss: Yes. /No.(tecach the new word “hungry”)

T: I want to have a bowl of noodles.

T: (Hold a picture of noodles) I like noodles. Today, we are going to learn Unit5. I like noodles.Then teach the new word “noodle(s)”.

After that, write the topic sentence on the blackboard. The students read the topic sentence after the teacher, then read together.

2.New words

(1)Noodles

Use a picture of noodles to teach it.

(Help the students understand, and copy the word on the

blackboard.)

(2)Biscuit

T: What’s this? (Use a picture.)

Ss: It’s a biscuit. (Help the students to answer.) then write the new word on the blackboard and teach it.

T: What are these? (Use a picture of some biscuits.)

Ss: They are biscuits.(Help the students to understand the plural form of biscuit.)

(3)Use some pictures to teach other new words:dumpling(s), milk, bread, rice.

(4)Read all these words after the teacher, then the students read together.

(5)Play a game: Look and read quickly

PPT shows the pictures of all these words, the students say the words quickly.

3.Sentence pattern

(1)Lead in:

T:(Point to the pictures.) There are some food here, I like noodles. What do you like?

Ss: (Use a picture to help he students answer.) I like bread. Then use different pictures to ask and answer questions.

(2)Practice in pairs.

(3)PPT shows the task:

Groupwork (小组活动):

Talk about your likes in groups of four.(4人一小组谈论你们的喜好.)Divide the class into some groups of 4 to pracse the sentence pattern. Then ask some Ss to stsnd up and sak and answer questions.

Step3 Consolidation

Create a situation and talk freely.

情景交际:I’m a little shop-assistant. (我是小小售货员)

After school, some students go to a canteen to buy some food. (放学后, 一些学生去小卖部买食物.)

Step4 Sum up

PPT shows the words and sentence pattern.

Step5 Homework

1. Copy the new words. (抄写新单词。)

2.Talk about your likes with your friends freely after class. (课后与你的朋友自由谈论你们的喜好。)
