This teaching period mainly deals with the grammar: The Past Participle used as the Adverbials and let students do some exercises to consolidate it.

Students often feel this item abstract and difficult, so it is necessary to make the lesson interesting and connect with it with their daily life in order to let it easy to accept and understand.

3.教学目标(Teaching aims) 知识目标(Knowledge aims)

Enable students to learn how to use the past participle as the adverbial correctly.

能力目标(Ability aims) Enable students to use the past participle as the adverbial correctly and properly according to the context.

教学过程(Teaching procedures)

Step1.Greetings Step2 .Lead-in The teacher asks students to look at some sayings in which the Past Participle is used, leading them to the topic of this period. Step3.Presentation of the basic usage (1). The teacher asks students to look at some puzzles they need to solve. (2). The teacher explains the basic usage of the Past Participle as adverbials in some examples.

(3). The teacher and the students conclude the basic usage of the Past Participle as adverbials together. Step4. Team competition(Round 1) The teacher asks students to rewrite some sentences, using the past participle as the adverbial. Step 5. Presentation of the usage of different forms of the the past participle as the

adverbials. The teacher explains it with examples. Step6. Team competition(Round 2) The teacher asks students to fill in the blanks with the right forms of the given verbs.

Step 7. Presentation of the conditions in which the the past participle meaning a kind of state or an active behavior. The teacher explain the theory with examples.

Step 8. Team competition(Round 3)

The teacher asks students to choose a picture and make a sentence with the given words according to the picture. Step 9. Conclusion Students read the pithy formula about how to memorize the grammar better. Step 10. Team competition(Round 4)

The teacher asks students to fill in the blanks with the right forms of the given verbs, and declare which team is the winner. Step 11. Homework Go over “The Past Participle as the Adverbial” and finish the exercise on Page 33 of Book 8.

8.教学反思（Teaching Reflection）

This is a class that focuses on the Past Participle used as the adverbials. Students have already learned something about the Past Participle and adverbials before, so they can understand the points more easily . The purpose of this class is to have students learn how to use the past participle as the adverbials and use it correctly and properly according to the context. Through the feedback of the students in class, I find that most students can master the usage, but there are still some students who have difficulty using it. So I need to provide more chances for students to practice so that they can use the knowledge they have learned correctly.
