An interesting country (Writing) 姜堰区张甸中心小学 孙娟

Teaching Objectives: By the end of this class, most students will be better able to talk about an interesting country, and then using the information to complete an article about an interesting country. This will be achieved by learning and teaching the following language points: 1. words and phrases: a) to review the words and phrases about an interesting country-Australia.

b)to learn the new words about an interesting country-the UK2 sentence patterns:

You will find/like...You will find…/Do you love…/You will like…/They are…/You will also like…

3. skills: students are better able to use other phrases to polish a passage. 4. learning and teaching stratagies: Students are better able to use and memorize the vocabulary with the help of mind-map. Teaching importances: 1.

the vocabulary about an interesting country. 2.

use different sentence structures to talk about an interesting country.

Anticipated difficulties: Using some words and phrases to polish a passage maybe is a little difficult for some of the students. Teaching methods:

T: Do you like travelling?Where did you go? S:Yes,I went to Sanya. T:I like travelling , too. Today,We are going to three countries.Look,Which country is it?

Step3:Discussion 1.Look at the video(泰微课)关于中西方文化介绍-----UK T:Let’s look at the video(泰微课),after watching,Can you try to introduce the UK,according to the mind map ?

【设计意图：观看泰微课是对写作框架的加深巩固和实际运用，通过介绍英国，突破了本课教学难点——如何写,写什么。也是对所学内容的巩固和复习，为下面的说和写环节做准备。】

T:Look ,there are 3 parts of the article.The first part is the topic sentence.It is first and tells us that what the topic is about. The second part is the details.They give us more information about the topic. The last part is the concluding sentence.It tells What the paragraph was about. Step4:Introducing T:There are many beautiful countries in the world,but in my heart,China,our mother land is most beautiful in the world.It is interesting too.Look ,Can you try to introduce it to us?
