Unit 5 Signs 第一课时：Story time

教学目标

1. 知识目标

(1)能初步感知并理解故事，能够体会故事中主要人物的不同情感，用不同的语气朗读并表演故事。

(2)能够简单地听、说、读单词及词组：sign, at a shopping centre, in a restaurant, be careful, mean, take…into…, someone, smell,

(3)能听懂、会说、会读：What does it mean? It means ……./ No eating or drinking./ No littering./ No smoking./ Wet floor. (4)能听懂、会说、会读“Signs”。

2. 技能目标

(1) 能借助提示，完整的复述本课对话

(2) 通过本课时的学习，让学生能够看懂一些常见的公共标识，并能用英语进行询问极其描述。

3. 情感目标

(1)根据标志的意思，能够介绍、询问、给人以忠告和建议。

(2)通过学习公共标志常识，加强社会公德教育，提高学生自身的文明素养。

Step2 Presentation

1. T: Where can we see the signs? S: In the library/ in the park/ in the street.... T: We talked about signs. What about our friends? Listen, Who are they?

(板书头饰) Where did they go? What did they talk about?

Let’s watch and answer. （动画结束，PPT呈现课文四幅插图, 看图回答问题) Q1: Where did they go? 新授：（1）shopping centre

（2）a juice shop

(和学生谈谈少喝果汁)

（3）a bookshop

（谈谈书店，建议多看书）

（4）a restaurant

（跟want比较教学，出示饭店图片）

2. T: What did they talk about?

让学生观察图片后选：A. Clothes

B. Food and drinks

C. Signs

T: Yes, they talked about the signs.

T: What signs are they? Read the story quickly, then match. 学习标语名称。

T: They went to some places and saw four signs. What else did they do ?

Let’s read and choose. Please open your books turn to page50, read the story by yourselves, try to underline the key sentences. 题1、2解读Part1 （1）Look, they are at a shopping centre.

Pay attention to the word “ at”. 跟读at the shopping centre.

There’s a sign “Wet floor.” Does Tim know the meaning?

解读Part 2 T: Now they are in a juice shop. Do they want some juice? How many glasses of juice do you want? How do you know? Can you see that sign? What sign is it? What does it mean?

S : It means you can’t litter here.（PPT出示划线）

(跟读，板书) T: We should put rubbish in the bin.

题3 解读Part 3

教take…into…

T: There’s the bookshop. Helen wants to go in. Mike says: You can’t take your juice into the shop? Why?

S: There’s a sign. No eating or drinking. （PPT出示标志“No eating or drinking.”）

T: What does it mean?

S: It means you can’t eat or drink here.（PPT出示划线）

（跟读，板书）

题4解读Part 4

T: Look，they are in a restaurant. Is someone smoking? I can smell it.（教someone,smell）

Look，a man is smoking. Can someone smoke here? Why? S: Here’s a sign.

T: What sign is it?

S: No smoking.（PPT出示标志“No smoking”）

T: What does it mean? （PPT出示划线）

S :It means you can’t smoke here.（PPT出示划线）

(跟读，板书) T: What’s Tim’s advice ?

S: Please don’t smoke here.

(PPT出示划线) (跟读) (三人小组尝试模仿情景对话，注意表情，加以动作) 4. We know the signs very well. Time for reading. Let’s read the story after the tape with enmotion. Pay attention to these. 5. Read in four charactors.

Today we’ve learned Unit5 Signs. First, Mike, Helen and Tim went to the shopping centre. They saw the sign”Wet floor.”, it means the floor is wet.
