教学目标

知识目标：通过学习本文，了解关于奥运会的历史及重大意义，让学生认识一些著名的成就非凡的运动员。

能力目标：1.本文是一篇演讲稿，通过学习本文，帮助学生了解演讲稿的格式特点，以及阅读演讲稿的阅读策略，从而提高其阅读能力。

2.学生了解并掌握英语演讲稿的一些惯用开头语及结束语，从而学会用英语演讲。

情感目标：通过对奥运会历史及其意义的了解，让学生体会到体育运动的起源，发展，兴起，感受体育运动的魅力。通过对一些著名运动员成就的探讨，让学生体会到运动员身上那种“坚持不懈”“有志者，事竟成”的精神。

教学重难点

教学重点：1.通过对文章的学习，学生了解掌握奥林匹克运动会的历史以及一些著名运动员对其的贡献。

2.通过学习Reading Strategy：reading a speech 的学习，学生了解掌握相应的阅读演讲的阅读策略，从而提高学生的阅读能力，帮助快速了解文章的主要信息。

3.学会用一些惯用的开头语和结束语进行英语演讲。

教学难点：1.如何更好的运用所学的reading strategy：reading a speech更好的提高阅读能力，完成阅读任务。

教学方法

运用阅读技巧scanninng和skimming等阅读策略，带着问题进行阅读，了解文章的主旨大意和细节内容，完成阅读任务。对reading strategy 的学习，让学生掌握不同文体应用不同的策略进行阅读。通过reading for structure的环

节，让学生了解文章的大纲段落结构。通过reading for detailed information,培养学生获取信息和处理信息的能力，从而达到帮助学生更好的理解文章。

学情分析

本界高一学生英语基础较差，基本功不扎实，但是通过对模块一，二，三阅读课文中阅读策略的学***量的阅读训练后，学生能运用基本的scaning和skimming 技巧进行有效阅读，完成阅读任务，能掌握文章的大意，能够从文章中获取主要的信息。

Step II Lead in

Introduce some pictures about the Olympic and some famous sports players. And ask some questions about Olympics. 1.How much do you know about the Olympic Games? 2.Can you tell some famous sports players? What are they? 设计意图：

通过讨论引出奥运会的主题。

Step III Fast Reading Read the speech quickly and answer the following questions. 1.What is the speech about? 2.What was Pierre de coubertin’s hope when he brought the Olympic Games back to life? 3.What does the speaker wish for at the end of the speech? You should pay attention to the key words in the questions. 设计意图：通过快速阅读使学生迅速进入阅读角色，并锻炼了学生使用阅读技巧scanning. Step IV Reading strategy Look at the text and try to know what genra is the text。Obviously, it is a speech. Then read the short passage on page 23 and answer the following. 1.What is a speech? 2. In which ways can we make a good speech? 通过填写表格的方式回答上述两个问题，使学生了解speech的特点。

As speech is a common writing form in our daily life, it is essential for us to know how to start and end a speech. Notice the opening and ending words in the speech here, try to remember them. We can use the following to start our speech: 1.Good morning/afternoon, ladies and gentlemen. 2.Hello, students and teachers. 3.It is my honour to stand here to give a speech here. 4.I am delighted /glad to make a speech here. We can use the following to end our speech: 1.Thank you for coming to the talk today. 2. I hope you can enjoy my speech. 3. Thank you for your kind attention. 设计意图：通过对英语演讲稿开头语和结束语的总结，使学生熟练掌握英语演讲稿中的一些惯用开头和结尾，并学以致用，提高学生的写作能力。

Step V Reading for structure

Step VI Careful Reading Reread the text and try to finish the following exercises. (1)First, read and listen Part 1 and try to answer the following questions. 1.Who is the speaker?

2.To whom will the speaker give a speech? 3.What is the topic of the speech? (2)Then, read and listen Part 2, and try to do T or F exercises. 1. The first ancient Olympic Games were held in AD 776. 2. The Olympic Games have always been held every 4 years. 3. Long jump, wrestling and running are included in both ancient and modern Olympics.

(3)Finally, read Part 3 and try to answer and fill the table. 1. How many athletes are there mentioned in the text? 2. What are their achievements? 使用图片和表格的方式向学生展现出一些著名运动员的成就，并让学生完成表格。

设计意图：通过此环节的训练，学生能够了解更多的细节信息，使他们对运动员做出的贡献和成就更加熟悉，同时也提高了学生的阅读能力。

Step VII Discussion After learning the great contribution the athletes have made to the Olympics,

what do you benefit a lot? 1.What good quality do the athletes have in common? 2.What can we learn from them? 设计意图：通过讨论环节，使学生深深体会到了这些运动员身上那种锲而不舍，坚持不懈的精神，鼓励学生学习运动员身上那些宝贵的品质，并将其用在今后的学习和生活中去。

Step VII Homework 1.Retell the text in your own words. 2. Finish Part E on page 25. 3. Recite the opening and ending words of a speech.

Teaching Evaluation: 自我评价：本节课的主要知识目标是让学生通过阅读本文，了解关于奥运会的历史及其重大意义，让学生认识一些著名运动员的非凡成就。通过对本篇演讲稿的学习，帮助学生了解演讲稿的格式特点，以及阅读演讲稿的阅读策略，从而提高阅读能力，授人以渔。进一步对演讲稿的惯用开头语和结束语的总结，增强学生写演讲稿的写作能力。课堂中，利用多媒体教学，从教学情境的创设到对课文的理解都进行的精心设计，栩栩如生的画面让学生感受到了体育运动的魅力所在，也使学生牢记住了运动员身上的奥运精神，永不放弃，挑战自我，对学生树立正确的人生观，价值观，世界观进行了正确的引导。整堂课知识容量大，训练量也大，教学方式多样化，教学目标中的知识，能力，情感目标基本都得以实现。

问题反思：

1.

对学生学情把握不到位。学生对奥运会这一主题表现出极大的兴趣，他们平时也通过网络，报纸，电视等渠道了解了有关奥运会的历史及意义等。但本校高一学生普通英语基础薄弱，词汇量少，阅读能力差，当对文章细节之处的阅读练习是，部分学生跟不上老师的节奏，对信息的了解不够深层，加工，整理信息的能力也有待进一步加强。还有部分学生反应信息量太大，自己消化不了这么多的知识。

2.本堂课容量过大，知识量也大，导致某些环节也是点到即止，上课节奏偏快，感觉整堂课像是为了完成某个教学任务，达成某些教学目标，没有深入去挖掘，加上时间不够，学生思考讨论时间不够，导致效果不佳。例如discussion部分，学生都没有充分的时间去讨论去思考。对于reading strategy 部分，课堂上学生通过一系列的问题知道如何阅读演讲稿，并总结归纳出演讲稿的惯用开头语和结束语，但是教师并没有深入学以致用，只是点到即止。如果在此环节深入探讨并让学生现场运用所学写一篇简单的演讲稿，可能学生对演讲稿写作印象更加深刻。

3.从课堂实录中看出，教师步骤之间的衔接不够自然，在各个环节的衔接语应仔细斟酌，教师有待提高。

教学改进：

1.

深入学生，适时的了解学生的英语程度，采取分层教学，由易到难，由简入繁，放慢课堂节奏，多鼓励学生自主学习能力，合作探究型的学习。

2.

要适当缩减课堂容量，因材施教，不要刻意去追求课件的完整性，要突出课堂的重点所在，深入挖掘重点知识，并学以致用，而不是点到即止。例如reading strategy 部分，课堂上学生通过一系列的问题知道如何阅读演讲稿，并总结归纳出演讲稿的惯用开头语和结束语，既然本环节就是探讨阅读演讲稿策略的，那么在总结归纳之后，就可让学生现场运用所学写一篇简单的演讲稿，从而学生对演讲稿写作印象更加深刻。

3.各个环节的衔接用语，教师要仔细斟酌，以便各个步骤衔接的更自然，学生更加容易接受。
